Just wanted to add that although the structure is still very fast, the small tweak did make a difference.

I also thought that Tikay was far better than the previous 'experts' (where's the brown-nose smiley?), and loved the in jokes that only Blondes will appreciate.  Also loved the collar and cuffs comment.

Well played to all blondes who cashed thumbs up

I caught bits of the show last night as Tikay was making his debut. I have to agree with MAF i thought the show in general was a bit too jerky and some of the hands which really weren't that interesting seem to take an age to be played out, to be honest this was rescued by Tikay's efforts at entertaining the audience. I also found the whole layout abit uneasy on the eye ,maybe it was tikay's jacket.

I will be honest i prefer the way poker night live approach this genre, sorry.

No need to be sorry, horses for courses & all that. But I do agree with you up to a point - we need to get slicker. We will, trust me.

I noticed the clicker, didn't notice it the other nights, was someone else progressing their hands?

It was still a bit slow IMO, but I think you went through them faster than the previous presenters and had a few more gems to talk about. Nice show, you pulled it off Wink You and Kara are certainly the best match up yet.

When are you on next?

I think Tikay was hoping for Wednesday night, 7:30 at the Italian just round the corner...

I love the way you called her everything but Kara.  Grin

I watched the whole thing, even though I didn't play in it. It's aways a pleasure to watch Tikey commentate and having a laugh, it puts the viewers at ease and makes them gloss over the little tweeks that need to happen (No i ain't after anything!).

One thing that does need addressing though and I don't wish to be too critical is that please have guest poker players with charisma and ability to want to talk on camera. It's really awkward when they simply shy up and don't say a thing, many a time the presenter is left red face when the guest player replies with one word answers. Paul Parker and to a lesser extend David May, I will leave out the others as its not easy and they will grow in confidence over time.

The other Experts all have the "clicker" as well, they just handle it more subtly than I do. Technology, tsk tsk.....next time I'll be super-slick.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Kara, though she's a good friend, & we have worked together on another show a while back.

My next Show will be Thursday, with Richard Orford, then Tuesday next week with Helen Chamberlain, followed by Thursday week with DP Fitzgerald. God willing, that is...... And that's me done for February. But they've asked me for my March availbliity this morning, so maybe I've got away with it for another month. Stranger things have happened, but before Flushy reminds us, not much.
