Unfortunately, Prison Break- Sleeper Cell and 24 were all ingrained with a "do not go to bed and watch me instead" subliminal message contained within

wow you're so lucky. All this great 24 stuff to come!

****warning spoilers*******

Series 3 is perhaps the best with Jack forced into working hand in hand with the genoicidal maniac terrorist Mohammed Jill.

After being handed royal status by the British Monarachy in series 2 for heroic acts against terrorism, Jack, or King Bauer, as he is now known, spends much of the series proudly sporting a delicate, bejewelled piece of headgear.

The series centres around the need to recover the deadly hydro-weapon, codename "a pail of water."

The pinnacle of the series comes as bauer moves to recover this weapon, requiring the navigational assistance of Mohommamed Jill, to aid him in recovering it from the sloping terrorist hideout it has been stowed away in.

In order to ensure Jill doesn't simply flee, Bauer ties their legs together, which although ensuring Jill stays close at all times, also makes it hard for Jack to walk and trickier for him to keep his feet on the inclined slope where the weapon is being concealed.

The series is full of cunning twists and intricate plot devices, although some have observed it simply seemed to be a reworking of an earlier fictional tale...

"Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water
Jack fell down and broke his crown
And Jill came tumbling after"

Classic TV whatever....

The later series 4 involving the destruction and attempts to rebuild the "humpty dumpty" device, using all of jack's equine and human resources, and series 5 where he is forced to use weapons of arachnophobia to instill fear in the ruthless cannibal laying waste to the kurdish lands, litte miss muffet, are not quite as sharp as this early effort...
