It was paying top 27  and there was roughly 40 left       $200 for 27th and $7,800 for 1st

no read ....he must be fairly sure ill be calling , so im assuming he wasnt "making a move "

i wouldn't be raising at that stage of a tournament with such a hand. if you fold you still have a decent stack left. whereas if you call and lose. like i'm pretty sure you would be. you have a mere survivalist stack. it depends what you want out of the tournament. because you've raised i'm guessing you're in there for a final table spot. in which case take the gamble and pray for a small pair.

Ok between me and u tempor , as it seems nobody else gives a rats ass !

I ended up calling i thought it was v v close , but decided that with 9k back if i lost i could still do some damage , he flipped over QQ and held up !

AS u said it prob depends on what u want out of the tourney at that stage i was looking to gather some chips and make a push for the ft so it was JUST about a call for me

On the plus side i did manage to still eek my way to the final table eventually busting 8th , i havent got 50p on me so i wont mention the hands involved Wink ... it was a 3outer tht beat me and i woulda been 3rd in chips if i held , so i was close enough, and it possibly proves i had enough to make a fightback after a looooose call

Good post. You can make moves like this but only when you're closer to the bubble and people tighten up.

I'd pass preflop, but I'd call here, you're pretty much a pushbot whether you pass or call unless you call and win.

The sbs only got 7 BBs so his push doesn't necessarily mean you're dominated as he will probably be pushing any pocket pair and things like KQ.

Even when you're dominated, you're getting well over 2-1, making a call +ev in straight equity terms and the difference between 15k or 10k isn't massive so I would take the positive gamble and call.
