If Castillo is anywhere near his best I think he will win, although he looked as though he was on the way down in his last fight. Probably explains why Hatton is happy to fight him.

Many said that Hatton would be completely outclassed and blown away by Tsuyu, but that never happened - and no, Tsuyu wasn't past it when they fought.
Castillo is a decent fighter, world class - but to say that Hatton will only fight him because he's well past his best is a little churlish.
The same could be said towards Mayweather and his fight against De La Hoya. In fact the same could be levelled at probably more than 50% of the fights that are made.

Tszyu wasn't past it?? He was 3months short of his 36th birthday and hadn't fought for 18months!! I'd suggest he was more than a little past his best (although admittedly it was a very good performance from Hatton as a 70% Tszyu would beat most), and Tszyu is the only proper 'name' on Hattons record. Until he steps in with genuine world class operators like Cotto or Mayweather my doubts about his quality will remain....Castillo is a step in the right direction though.

I think Hattons reached his level with these boys and although he's got the heart l think he'll be found out, if not in this fight in the near futue because theres 3-4 other guys and this level who he just wouldnt be able to live with

Tsuyu wasn't at his peak - but he wasn't past it.
All the criticisms that are being laid at Hatton could very easily be aimed at Mayweather. Why is he fighting De La Hoya? To prove his claim to be the best? Hardly.

point is Hatton will fight anyone.
I think he'll beat Castillo and it'll be a brutal fight.
Tszyu said Hatton was the best fighter he'd ever come up against.
PBF is a great fighter but it's long stance stylish fighters like him that a close up scrapper like Hatton is made for.
Hatton won't retire unbeaten but losing a couple of fights doesn't stop a guy being a great fighter and Hatton is definitely that.

But not mine
All about opinions. I'll just throw one name at you Junior Witter.

I dn't think it's a matter of opinion. when people talk about boxers dodging particular fights it often sounds like some sort of cowardice is implied, which I don't think can be applied to Hatton.
why would he want to take a step back to fight Junior Witter?
Don't get me wrong, i like Witter but he's a definite step down in class for Hatton and he's on his way up, not down.
Although I don't think Hatton would have any trouble with that fight it'd have to wait until Ricky could go no further and Witter had earned a shot at the very top.
Ricky will fight anyone but management has failed in the past to land the fights he's wanted. I remember thinking he was going to swing for Frank Warren once or twice in post fight interviews because he wasn't getting Ricky the big fights he thought he deserved.

Witter is WBC Light-Welterweight Champion, he brings a lot more to the table than either Maussa, Collazo or Urango did.
