yes there have been many before and many good sitcoms after but these 3 really set the standard if you were stranded on a desert island with a box set of dvd from the above 3 sitcoms and a dvd players (with monitor and speakers) with would you take for thse down time?
yes i know some people will prefer frasier or seinfield or friends etc etc but this is between the 3 giant classics

Agree with your top 3, have chosen MASH due to it's longevity.

Its not just a preference, but yes i did love friends. And surely in terms of everything, friends dwarfs them all easily!

As much as I love many of the modern sitcom's, I agree that those 3 are standard bearers in US shows. I instantly went to vote for Cheers (probably because I've seen more of them) but tbh Mash is heads above the other 2 (in my opinion of course )

good 'friends' episodes are excellent, some of the earlier stuff sucked. 'Everybody loves Raymond', when it's on target, is by far the best I've seen, just watched the 'Midlife crisis' episode, pure genius. Cheers was ok, didn't much care for M*U*S*H dadada da da da
