I can give you details of a spectacular exit within one orbit of the tournament re-starting.
However, you'll only charge me 50p so I won't bother!!
The problem looks to be laptop availability. Tighty was scribbling things down on paper, Des was taking pictures but I don't think anyone can actually get them online at the moment.
All I can give you is that the 32 were dropping like flies at the start of play. All-ins were happening everywhere, short-stacks were doubling up left, right and centre. Therefore, the overnight chips count picture changed rapidly from the word go. That's about all I can tell you with any certainty.

What he said!!
GREAT stuff guys.
Staff at Cardiff did a wonderfull job
Many many thanks Sean who gave a bottle of Bubbly as a consolation prize for the bubble boy - Yes it was me
Brendan looked so upset at his 14th place finish - VWD Brendan.
I met a few new faces there, and I must make a special mention to James - aka sofaking . What a top bloke he is!!!!! So unlucky to exit in hand 3 wasnt it??
Kev, I let you win that STT - just being nice to you
lol
The tourney was a great success, maybe the clock/blinds could of been better, but I am not knocking APAT at all - it is soooo hard to organise a tourney and they have done a great job.
From 32 places left, it did end up a little bit hit and miss as the average stack had 10xBB - just a comment, and not meant as a critisism.
The standard was again poor which made th first few levels a minefield where you HAD to hit the flop and hit it hard as not many would put down top pair no matter how much you bet. I sat out the first 4 levels and had blinded down to 7500. Managed to quickly get to 20k (as the blinds were 200 400) and then to a comfortable 40k, then 91k (with 9 4 in the BB when I turned 2 pair against the guy with top pair).
32 returned and with 22 getting paid it was going to be tough. Sherrif had 80k and did not manage to make the money. I had 62k and struggled. Finally took a stand (36500) UTG when blinds had got to 6000 12000 with A 5 suited. Got an all in re raise from late position to 80k and the BB woke up with a hand and asked for a chip count of the 2nd all in. By this time I had left the table and stood watching from a distance. When the BB took 5 minutes to decide to call, I wondered back over to the table. The re raise all in guy turned over K 5 o/s and I suddenly felt a bit more confident, until the BB (the guy who took 5 minutes to call) turns over Aces!!!!
He was not slow rolling, he was honestly thinking of passing for fear of being the bubble boy. He need not have worried as his Aces held up.
All in all very pleased with my play, disapointed to be bubble, but ................. what a fantastic weekend away.
TK and co - you are fantastic!!

I would like to give a big thankyou to all the guys from Blonde who gave me loads of support and advice over the 2 days at Cardiff.
I may be an old geezer at 43 years but so far only played live at Newcastle and Cardiff and only been on blonde for a couple of weeks.
Above all some great new friendships were formed and it was great to talk to like minded people rather than boring my mates down the pub with stories of internet poker that bore the pants off them!!!!!
Was stunned to make the final table and felt 8th was a real achievment though more down to chip conservation than any great play!!
Left before the end so no idea who won but Lee Mulligan was looking good with over 3 quarter of a million chips.
Survived 4 show downs with him as the low stack before he finally got his chips back from me so he was looking good when i left with 6 players still in.
For me the highlight was towards end of first day 38 left in 15000 chips blinds at 3000 6000. Couldnt book any accommodation had no intention of driving back home and coming back for second day if had so few chips. Pushed all in with
, Lee called with A K off, K on flop along with 2 hearts and got my flush on the river. Quick double up again with 5 minutes left on the clock for end of first day and the 4 hour return trip for the second day didnt feel so bad!!!!
Again thanks to all and see you at the tables,

Hi All,
What a great weekend, and it was good to meet other Blondes such as Sheriff Fatman, InTheBelly, Tikay, Tighty, JohnMW, Bredan & Colchester Kev. Apologies to Brendan & Kev for not introducing myself. It’s sometimes a bit awkward when you’re new to a forum.
Here’s my trip report for anyone who’s interested….
Day #1.
What a bizarre day! I started off on the same table as Brendan & InTheBelly with Colchester Kev as our celebrity dealer. I was card dead for well over half the day and kept yo-yoing from short stack to very short stack. I soon dwindled down to 5400 in chips, then back up to 11,200. Just after the dinner break, my AK ran into Brendan’s KK. Back down to 3200. This is when I got the hand of the day for me.
At this point with blinds at 400/800, I decided to push with A4 UTG before the blinds hit me. I got 2 callers. Flop was KTx. One player bet out forcing the other out. He showed KT for top 2 pair. I had nada. As I picked up my jacket, the turn was an Ace, then the miracle river 4 came down to give me a better 2 pair. I tripled up! My opponent was visibly stunned (so was I!).
Shortly after this I moved tables and sat next to Sheriff Fatman. I again went short by making a bad call with KQ against a shortie’s Ace rag. Then I went on a rush. I managed to make double ups with JJv AT, AK v JJ, AA v KQ & AA v KJ. Next thing I knew I was up to ~100k.
I finished the day in 7th place with 96,500 and chip leader for my table.
Day #2
I don’t mind admitting I was very nervous for day 2. I certainly wasn’t safe and with blinds starting at 4000/8000, my M was only 8. All the people on my table that could crippled me were all to my left. I had to be very careful.
But I started the day well. I knocked out the Sheriff when I pushed from the SB with Q5 (his stack had been decimated a couple of hands earlier from a tough beat). He felt he had the odds to call with his 72, but my hand held up and I knocked him out (sorry mate!). Shortly afterwards I knocked another shortie out with my AA v 66. I was up to a peak of around 135k.
The bubble eventually burst after a while, and I breathed a sigh of relief. I felt confident I could make the final table from then on. Unfortunately my dreams were shattered in 2 hands. At this stage blinds were now 8k/16k. First a short stack pushed in EP. I had an easy call from the BB with KK. He showed A3s and caught his A on the flop. Back down to 79k. A few hands later, it was folded round to me in the SB. I looked down at A6 and pushed for my last 63k. BB thought for a while, considered his pot odds then called with KT. My hand looked good until the Ten cruelly came down on the river.
Out in 17th for a nice £300 payday. Considering I was almost out in around 170th, I’m very happy with the way things turned out. Sorry for not hanging around to watch the rest of the action, but I had to rush back to London before hitting the football traffic.
Once again, another great and well run tournament organised by APAT. I’m looking forward to the next one already!
Mark (not Miles).

DuncTheHat - I think the entire card room heard your
double up, and iirc you got unlucky with the hand you bust out on.. I was pretty gutted I folded AT that hand
And MAF, i was on your starting table and then to your left when the bubble burst, but I must point out I moved tables (for about the 15th time) and wasnt the KT who bust you!
Anyway it was great playing with you all.
My story was just basically 9 hours of being shortstacked on Day 1, just hanging in there, stealing a few blinds and trying to stay alive. Then a couple of hours before the end of Day 1, I went on a rush and doubled up with AJ, AA, KK and KQ(!!) leaving me with 127k chips overnight and so 5th out of 32.
Day two, i was pretty nervous as i've never played a two day event before and so I began to overthink everything. Made it to the bubble, after avoiding a very crazy move, I picked up
in BB and the Welsh guy who's name escapes me (good lad), raised it up on the button - he had been super aggresive and I did think about shoving as the blinds were so high by now..luckily he talked so much that he kinda put me off and he let me choose which one of his kings to look at.
Bubble burst, so I decided to loosen up..but maybe got too loose when i raised
in EP, the raise was around 30k of my 100k stack so im guessing blinds were 5/10 at this point.. 60k stack shoves. I wanted to fold at this point, but with the pot odds being so insane I had to call and just hope he was playing AK, AQ, AJ type hands.. so i call, leaving 3 BB's behind and he flips QQ. Me being the luckbox I did flop the 6. I then won a hand AK v 99 after flopping a king and surviving a turned inside straight draw. At this point I had 300k chips and was told I was chip leader by a marginal bit, but this was pretty much the only action i had until the final table and so i went in average stacked exactly with 250,000, it was very close. Anyway a min raise UTG on the final table when 7 handed I found
in my BB, it was a minimum raise and while usually I'd avoid a hand like this it was a good oppurtunity to stack someone if he did have a monster that he's min raising UTG. Flop was AKT..check, check... then the turns a K. I bet out 45k and he shoves, I eventually fold and he flips QJo, he'd flopped the nut straight.
From then its a uphill battle being shortstacked, and eventually im down to 1.5 BB (yes I should never get that badly off...), I just didnt seem to get any kind of spots and ended up having to try and quad up with
, but the BB's monster of 82o flops two pair and I bust in 5th place.
Anyway thanks to APAT I really did enjoy it, and cant wait for the next one even though I know I will never do that well again. I did have to win every coin-flip cos the average stack was often 10 BB's so ended up without much room to start playing too tricky.
I'm curious to know who won...it was 3 handed when I left and it all seemed quite even - must admit I was pretty envious !
