That’s great news. I’m gonna start playing this comp again now.

I don’t have the software at work. Are all the other satellites back to normal too?

Is this the Ladbrokes "Big Money Weekend" thingy? I heard that they have devised longer clocks, more chips & all that sorta stuff. Anyone got any details?

blonde carrried an impromptu Live Update of the 'Stars biggie a week or so back, & it proved incredibly popular, we had huge traffic figures, so we could carry this as well if peeps are interested. But first I need to know what it's all about - anyone know?

We're talking about the 'Who's the Daddy' comp. A weekly $320 comp with good clocks, starting chips, etc.

The satellites were always $32 and ver good value.

Then they put them down to $20 = more players, less seats, more bingo.

I stopped playing them. Now they have gone back to $32, although I don't think it was because of me...  Roll Eyes

Here are the 'Big Money detalils

Ladbrokespoker.com are proud to bring you a new festival of poker tournaments every month with an emphasis on quality and playability. Featuring much longer time levels for each blind, increased starting chip stacks and with guaranteed prize money of over $440,000 over 7 different events, these events are not to be missed. Another feature is 45 seconds to act so you can carefully ponder some of those tough decisions, which is only fair with so much money at stake.
The Big Money Weekend schedule is

Friday 30th September:

19:15 BST: A $500 No Limit Hold’Em 6 handed tournament for all those short handed action fans with a guaranteed prize pool of $50,000. 2,000 starting chips and 20 minute blind intervals.
21:15 BST: $300 Pot Limit Omaha with a guaranteed prize pool of $30,000 and also with 2,000 starting chips and 20 minute blind intervals.
Saturday 1st October:

12:15 BST: A $300 No Limit Hold’Em Heads Up tournament guaranteeing $38,400. There are only 128 places and as that is the guarantee level so this should be a sell out.

Main Event

15:15 BST: THE MAIN EVENT $1,500 No Limit Hold’Em with a $150,000 guaranteed minimum prize pool and fantastic 30 minute blind intervals and 3,000 starting chips. With this incredible structure and Ladbrokespoker.com’s higher hand speeds, this must be one of the best tournaments to be found in online poker.

21:15 BST: $300 Pot Limit Hold’Em for our fans of the slightly more subtle pot limit game and of course this too comes with 2,000 starting chips and 20 minute blind intervals and a $30,000 guarantee.

Sunday 2nd October:

15:15 BST: Big Money Sunday Lunch, $500 No Limit Hold’Em. We’ve kept everybody’s daytime weekend favourite but consistent with the underlying theme of Big Money Weekend, we’ve made the blind levels 30 minutes and kept the 3,000 starting chips and a $50,000 guarantee to boot.
20:00 BST: $100 No Limit Hold’Em with rebuys. It’s the Big Sunday Night and it’s got a massive $100,000 guarantee so there’s always the chance to end the weekend on a high note.
These tournaments can be found in Multi Table Tournaments lobby under the "Special" tab or using the “All” tab.

You can qualify for all the Big Money Weekend tournaments via multi table satellites available throughout the day that can be found under the MTT "Satellite" tab, or by playing in the sit and go satellites available 24/7 that can be found in the STT lobby.

How do you feel about the 45 seconds to act Tom ?

I fear there may be some terrible stalling tactics near the bubble, and people multi-tabling may drive some insane !

It can happen, but usually it doesn't, you have two minutes in a live game, I have seen that abused, but not often

IMHO Poker Stars have the best idea, a one minute 'time bank' that you can dip into when needed

On the pp million the other night the bubble took about an hour as it was 1 min clocks (i think) so each hand was taking between 5 and 10 mins. shocking.

Yes mate

hmm. Just seems as if this was a one off for today.

All the others satellites still seem to be 5% of the buy-in. Too low in my opinion.

Yeah - I've just seen it. Think it must be a one off for Tuesdays. Not home from work then. Bah.
