If Hiro goes back and changes things, then surely the fight won't happen?

Absolutely, watching them in order, starting with episode 1 is probably the better way to go...

Given the information that Hiro has, i dont see how he can change the future, as he still believes that Sylar is responible for the New York devestation.
Although this time he has mendez's comic, perhaps thats what will change the future
This is the one worry i have with heroes, time travel can be misused by writers to try to explain a lot away but has gone awry so many times in great comic arcs of the past i do hope the writers learn from the mistakes of others.
Still a phenomeal show though.

There is another theory:
(written in tiny white to prevent spoilage for people, if you want to read it you can hit 'quote')
Sylar was originally responsible for the explosion, because he absorbed Sprague's powers. Hiro stabbed him, but couldn't kill Sylar before he went nuclear because he had killed the cheerleader and simply regenerated.
So, he goes back in time to get Petrelli to save the cheerleader - which Petrelli does, stopping Sylar from gaining that ability.
In doing this, he changed the future - so that Sylar is no longer the bomb, and Petrelli becomes the bomb instead. He also changes his own timeline so that "Past" Hiro no longer stabs Sylar, (presumably because he is now focused on stopping Petrelli), although this too can presumably also be changed with the aid of the "8th Wonders" comic.

They haven't aired the first series yet so i don't see how the second can start, even moreso when they haven't commissioned it yet (though rumour has it there will be a second series).
Quick question for those that have seen S01 21..........where's the f***ing tank gone?

I don't think they have any ammo but it would be most useful given the current predicament!
