playing in my local last week i am sitting next to a player who is showing me his cards everytime he looks at them, i have told him but he had bad eyes and has to pick them up and put them next to his face you know the type i mean,  and i use it to my advantage is that wrong or should i be looking away ?

btw he knocked me out so all is fair in the end i was kinda hopeing he would because i was feeling gulity, i wont go into hand details but i was miles ahead obviously lol,

in another case in a diffrent casino on friday :-  we are about 10 hands from end of rebuys, its a £5 rebuy and gets £5k in the pot so its worth messing about for chips ive gone all-in the last 5 hands and do the same this time and get 7 callers, 5 all-in and 2 with chips the 2 with chips clash on the flop, and the other pass on your backs,   i have Q8, the guy who had the chips has A5  flop  Q22A8 and i pass him the chips and he says no you won you have 2 pair and the dealer mucks the hand,  am i wrong to accept this? they asked me to give the chips back but i said call for a ruleing knowing i would get it on my side, and i said how can i give you the chips back after the hand ?,  i knocked this guy out during the last 3 hands, to which there was upproarh from the table and some of the players,

btw, i went on to finish 4th in the comp, and i did give the guy £50 as a kind of gesture,  but i told him if you play the circuit thease things happen you have to accept them and move on,   for instance i never say a word if i get a bad beat im use'd to it and know it goes for me as well,   maybe on here once or twice if it really hurts but never at the time, i never cheer and smile when i win a pot and never sulk or whine when i lose a pot i think thats the best way to be,  i often get pepole takein the piss cos i dont smile when i win a big pot lol

Re player showing his cards - I'm sorry about his poor eyesight, but he just can't be allowed to do this.  The players beside him have a huge advantage.

As far as the second incident is concerned - the hand was tabled and you should have immediately pointed out that he had the winning hand.

IMHO you cant be that unsporting. You should have pointed out he won the hand. Poker is a game and no matter what angles you are shooting for in a hand, honesty and gentlemanly conduct are virtues that should be encouraged.

I agree. the guy in the second example won the hand, the cards did the talking so that's clear cut.

It was very wrong of you to take the pot.  The dealer must be incompetent as well however.
