No selections for me on Day Two, although that is only my view at the moment.......

Only had one proper bet on Day One (Fair Along, who I feel was disturbed by the two false starts as a front-runner )

Although I did have a saver in the CH (Iktitaf@20/1) without having a main bet as thankfully DC did not drift as expected doing me a substantial favour, however through my rose-tinted spectacles I felt that Iktitaf was not without a real chance of winning when falling three out.

I only have 3 Antepost bets for tomorrow.

2 of them are in the Coral Cup.

Oscatello EW @20/1 (now 12/1)
Copsdale Lad WIN @ 14/1 (now 12/1)

and one in the Kim Muir:

Direct Flight EW @14/1 (now 9/1)

I duno if these will win, i just knew their prices would drop so i would be able to lay them a bit.

Im a big fan of Direct Flight though, and my Dad claims Oscatello wont be far away.

Ill study all the races properly late tonight/early tomorrow morn tho.

Had a great first day with MY WAY DE SOLZEN.   Had it done ante post, and ended up with about £1180.   - what a horse. Get on for the gold cup next year.

Have a big ante post bet on My Turn Now in the first today and the drying ground will do him no harm.   2nd last time out it was closing on silverburn at sandown when it fell and that was on heavy.   Trainer says it runs best on good ground and gd-soft.  Definately EW claims

I've changed my mind about laying Aran Concerto. I just can't find a viable alternative. I certainly won't be backing it at around 2/1.

I'm still laying Denman and Well Chief.

Today I'm going for places only after my dismal return yesterday

2.00 Silverburn - Aran to short and Silverburn is ok pricewise for me.
2.35 Turko - Can't see past Denman here but Turko is in with a shout of a place
3.15 Ashley Brook - A horse that I always follow as it shares the same name as my wifes late uncle.
4.00 Oscatello - Ta Horneris, good odds for a place here
4.40 Direct Flight - Follow this jockey sometimes as we have the same silly surname.   I wonder if we are related!

Should I get anything back on these, I'm on Mad Fish for a place in the last, purely for it's name Smiley

Good luck everyone

I am on Dangerously good in the coral cup @80-1 betfair (50 and 66 in other places) this horse was decent in 2004 and has been off a while since but came back with a nice enough second on the allw eather a few weeks ago.

coral does 5 places for this race.

I am not encouraging anyone to back it though..it's a very open race but me thinks it'll be a big outsider who wins this. (if you get the forecast or tricast in this race you can retire Smiley

I've laid off all the big favourites for today. Denman, Well Chief and Aran Concerto. All too short and all beatable.

erm,

2.00 No Bet. Not enough oppopsition to Aran Concerto

2.35 Turko EW @ 20s + Either LAY Denman or BACK Caillin Allin (havent decided which yet)

3.15 No Bet. I like Newmill + Voy Por, but Well Chiefs obviously class. I cant have a bet with that, lol.

4.00 Oscatello EW @ 20s, Oulart EW @ 25s + Golden Bay EW @ 25

4.40 Direct Flight on EW @14s, Parsons Legacy @20s, Patrickninesteeth EW @ 25s

5.20 Aranleigh + got the huge priced Shirley Casper EW @ 50s

A lot of outsiders here, and going smaller stakes after my win yest. Also got a nice Eway double on Newmill + Turko.

Direct Flight + Oscatello my 2 main hopes. Got both at decent prices E Way last week.

Had Catch Me each way in the first - pretty happy.

Have two small stakes on Ungaro and Gazza's Girl in the next (both each way).
