I hear that horrible alarm-clock noise which must mean the blinds are going up. 1,000 - 2,000 with a 100 ante now.  Oh, after a break, which is now now.

This is what top class poker is all about.

El Blondie has top pair, crap kicker and yet goes over the top of a check/reraise from someone trying it on, and is proved right. Why do we never see this sort of thing on the telly?

Simon Nowab is OUT, I am afraid

Big table change-around as they break the TV table, apparently for the night.  It seems counterintuitive to film the slow bit at the beginning and miss all those 'on their backs' moments now, but there you go.

Kevin O'Connell OUT

His A 10 was called (all-in preflop) by a fairly optimistic big blind with A 5.  The board came:

  ks asp

I don't think he was best pleased, and who can blame him...

Simon Trumper's stack shortened dramatically after his KK was cracked by 77.  Seeing as I am relying on informants' informing for this one, I don't know when the money went in, but he's seriously short now...

I am sure Tikay is doing well at Gutshot, as silence means only one (of two) things - he's still in the comp and will probably win it, or he's fallen asleep under a table.

Yes, Simon Trumper now OUT.  Apparently, it was one of those preflop all-ins with a hoorah and then a groan as the underpair hit the set.

Dave Clayton OUT - lost the important pot with AQ vs JJ, and it's always tough to get back from a tiny stack.  It's all speeding up here - three tables before you know it.
