If you can, yes - give him a good hiding.  But if you can't?

By the sounds of things he spends a good deal of his time wankered. If he cannae dodge a ford fiesta on a roundabout, how is he going to dodge a fist fiesta in the car park?

I would never let anyone commit a Drink Driving offence, and I would shop my family no problem. It is an outrageous thing to do in this day and age.

I pulled up next to a car at some lights last week, in the car there was 3 lads, and the driver was smoking marijuana. He was clearly out of it. I got his reg number rang the local police and gave his details in.

Driving under the influence of alchohol or drugs is a shamefull thing to do, once prosecuted they should have their names put in local papers each week. Jusr ask anyone who has ever been hurt by this, and they would all agree.

The only people who seem to think it's acceptable are the people who commit this offence and those who would take a lift off someone under the influence...

As for tanks comment - beat the Sh*t out of him. I agree, but I would end up n prison, they would get a ban. I would be worse off.....

You're not going to prison, he won't shop you, he's your pal.

Beautiful the way it works.

I 100% want to report this person, but I can't.  When we hit the car today, it could have been far worse if the DD hadn't managed to slow down in time.  There were two young Kids in the car we hit and when I saw that, I thought that this person should not be on the roads.  However, I can't report someone I am good friends with.  I will never get in a car with them again though and I told them this earlier.

where do you draw the line though when it comes to reporting a friend? A car is essentially a dangerous weapon in the hands of people like this and it should be taken away as someone will end up getting hurt and his/her own life will be ruined as well.

I agree.

If he was carrying a gun, and you'd asked him not to - would you not then report him?

true , it would be ok if they just gave the DD a warning and a compulsory driving refresher course , however I wouldn't want them to get a criminal conviction.

i think when sark says DD he means dangerous driver (hint in the title) I don't think even a fictitous forum bot such as sark would be getting in a car with a drunk driver, at least i hope not..
