Apart from the time annonced when they would definitely have to stop the TD also stated that they would play to 27 OR 18 depending what the time was when 27 was reached. They wanted to play to a complete number of tables either 2 or 3. This was announced by the TD at the start of the comp to the whole room so no grounds for complaint that i can see.

that is just a lie.......27 or 18 was never mentioned
thanks for your input

I (the TD) gave notice to all players around 2am with 42 remaining that I intended to play down to 27, or til 4am. I expected that we would get to 27 players somewhere inbetween 3.30 and 4am. so when we were down to 27 at 2.55am I told the players to stop dealing, and suggested to the field that we play on til 4 as as we still had over an hour of possible play left and I did not want to have to bring so many players back, as only 10 were getting paid.

This suggestion was met with approval from all remaining, and the decision to continue did not really effect your friend as he was no longer in the tournament. Had he of hung on in there he may well have ended up coming back today with very few chips, which as you said was not what he wanted to do. However, i do understand that he may have been a little miffed, but it's very difficult to please 100% of the field.

yes at 2am you did say 4am OR 27 WHICHEVER COMES FIRST,so in future when its plainly obvious that youve got your estimations wrong let the players know your intention to play on before a very good player is forced to move with q high cos of the game situation.Other than that,a really good comp, very friendly atmosphere and nice curry.

I suggest you are the liar it was clearly announced by the TD, there was even a joke made by some lag because of his statement that they would play to an even amount of players because he said 27 or 18, 27 not being an even number was the jokers point. I suggest you owe me an apology.

All you ever do on this forum "Edy G" is abuse other members.

(This was in response to the above post by him where he abused RiverDave, but hes now edited that out.)

Ok Ed glad you cleared that up as despite lack of sleep i was sure i wasn't hallucinating, i wasn't still there at 2am so i can't really comment on any change of plans the TD made.
All going well anyway thanks see you around.
