The final 8 are as follows.

Bo Selstedt
Johnny Lodden
Ken Lennaard
Jeff Lisandro
Wayne Hutchins
Antonio Esfandiari
Martin Wendt
Ben Grundy

On the day I think we bet it something like this

4 Lodden
4  Esfandiari
11/2 Lennaard
11/2 Lisandro
13/2 Grundy
13/2 Wendt
7 Selstedt
9 Hutchins

Interestingly enough, most of the money was for Selstedt,Lisandro and Wendt.

I hope you have enjoyed the series and enjoy the final.

over to you Kingpoker..........

Just a quick not, some listings have the start time as 11pm but it says 10pm on Sky.

I've backed Johnny Lodden at 40/1 so I am hoping he takes it down...

This whole event was fantastic! Some of the best TV poker I've seen. Great final to boot, well done Martin Wendt on your deserved victory.

am i the only one that thought the move of the tournyment was actually bad play

yes he made a good laydown butplayed the river badly

he raised the river to pass to the reraise

where he could of checked to call the river bet same amount of chips into pot but gets to see the showdown

I think he figured DC may have flopped a set (amongst other possibilities) then sussed that the turn made the house

class lay down

class laydown but why bet to fold

why not just check call for same cost

or check fold

bet fold on the river was a bad play imho

wouldnt it be just as cheap to check call to find out rather than bet to find out

Value bet with what he thought was the best hand then he was good enough to realise that it wasn't. Not many players put that down there imo. Was a v v good laydown and check calling there just isn't an option as there are so many hands that would be just checked behind him that would have called the value bet. The best hand wasn't just decided by some drunk bloke at a bar- I'm sure all the pro commentators had a say in what they thought was the best, the look on DCs face should have told you what a class play it was.
