This is Brian Townsend, who High Stakes Poker fans should recognise.

Henning Granstad, Gus Hansen and Juha Helppi all share this table.

Baden Winner Thang Duc Nguyen and Blondeite Nick 'Ripple11' Jenkins.

Isabelle, hiding from my camera, for Surprise.

I'd like to see more pics of Snoopy's pink tennis shoes that irked Chris Moneymaker yesterday.

I may treat you during the break. To be honest, I had a few strong words with Moneymaker at the end of day's play just to sort out our differences. I think he's bucked up his ideas now, but if he steps out of line again I'll send him a message from the guns.

And fresh from his Cardiff success, Michael Greco.

Vegas-based and now less frequently seen in Europe, Patrick Antonius,

Twice EPT final tabler Jonas Molander, and the runner up last year here, Ash Hussain

Double BadBeat Richards - Redmond and Herbert, the latter next to Jim Kerrigan (not on the same table as Praz and Karl, that would just be silly):

Before I venture back into the fray, let's not forget that the Godfather of Poker is here in Monte Carlo. He may look simple, but he has the brain of a rocket scientist.

"Look at this teapot, isn't it odd," comments an observant genius.

This is Brian Townsend, who High Stakes Poker fans should recognise.

And who took $175K from Ram in a totally sick 300/600 NL heads-up game on Monday in which both players seemed to be allergic to their fold buttons.

Early bit of Mateyboy squared action. Amazing, €10k buy-in and these things still happen.

MB1 has , MB2 has

Turn:

Two Diamonds

River:

three clubs

Sometimes it's impossible to see how 300BB's can get in the middle there...

Here's a chap we haven't seen for a few month, JJ Hazan who finished 2nd in last year's Amsterdam Master Classics. Supremely confident as ever, JJ has just started his own website.

And another finalist from Amsterdam who recently proved that that wasn't a fluke by winning the GUKPT in Walsall outright with what appeared to be effortless chip-gaining - Jerome Bradpiece, slightly hidden behind dealer, but still recognisable due to permanent red hat.

Snoopy, stop taking glamour pics of Chubbs and get to the cardroom!

Well, if Chubbs eating his brekkie is your idea of glamour...

Whatever takes your fancy I guess, we answer all requests.

Caught a small but interesting pot involving the Lizard, Tony Bloom. With the board readin two spades , Bloom's 2k bet on the River was reluctantly called by his reluctant Scandinavian opponent who meekly revealed a potentially dominated . Bloom took it down with , but I think his opponent did well to lose so little.

I'll give you one guess who's seated at this table, and no, unsurprisingly, it's not our Oscar.
