Well, you can imagine he's not going all in with QQ or 99 Tongue. Looks like a bit of a panic bet, either with a made straight but you'd assume he wouldnt make the raise with KT, curiosity would get the better of me here i'd go with AQ maybe KQ at a push, obviosuly AJ would work too and that would be bad, could be AcTc i'd call, but i'm a bit of a fish Smiley

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

The CO isn't the player to be concerned about. It's the MP1 player who you need to put on a range.

MP1 could have 99 of course, but even then you still have 7 outs. There's a pretty good chance he's on a draw though.

I'm on tilt right now so I'd definitely move all-in. Smiley

I was hoping this would attract a bit more discussion than it did.  The fact that it hasn't suggests that people who've read it seem to think this is a trivial decision.

Those who have posted seem to be in favour of calling/pushing here and I'm wondering if that's the majority view.

Assuming so, then it looks like I'm in the minority here, as I folded after letting my hand hover over every option at some point.

Anyone else fold here in this position?  I'd love some more opinions.

if id played the hand as you did - check call on flop along with 1of the other limpers, check turn, then id fold. you really cant know where you are.

Cheers iceman.

Naturally there's all sorts of ways that people would play this one.  I focused on the turn decision because its the one that I was faced with but there's probably a good alternative to every decision I made in this hand.

I'm happy to hear opinions on the whole hand if anyone wants to discuss alternatives, as my earlier play is by no means 'standard'.

why is your previous play noit standard

limp in mp with a connector? by the time it comes back to you after CO raise you are priced in

flop middle pair and an up and down, were you planning to check raise one player here?

once CO bets and and MP1 calls what do you have him on? I think I raise 99 there for value versus a pre-flop raiser (AQ?) if I am him not flat call. I think at this stage MP1 is drawing too

On the turn I am calling CO push if its just him. MP1 flat calls?? that probalby changes my thinking...to check call twice with you behind him suggests a biggie to me...a house maybe QQ, 99

given that action I can defend the fold I think.

Its a fairly passive line I'm taking through the hand.  Not everyone would play it this way, I'm sure.

you have to call. because of the way you've played it imo. all-in on the turn looks like kings. but you really cant be sure what MP1 is calling with. at worst AQ. at best a slow played straight or house. neither of which you have much hope with.

i'd be more concerned about the way you've played this hand in general. call-call-check-call. wtf? does being that passive at this limit REALLY pay off in the long run? is calling that kinda raise with J10 out of position really pay off in the long run? i doubt it.

Yes, absolutely.

No. There is no need to see a flop here.
