Hi all,

Just off to Vegas for a week, just wondered if anyone had any favourites/recommended restaurants to go to while we're there.   My favourite so far has been Fiamma Trattoria - an Italian in the MGM, I also really liked the Indian in the Rio last summer.

If you want a buffet the one at the bellagio is the best by far. There is a whole array in the venetian most of which are far too expensive. The Grand Cafe there is as good as any of them, far cheaper, less poncy and one of my favourites.

If you get the chance go to Nero's in Ceasars Palace, I've never had finer food anywhere in the world, absolutey top drawer.

The revolving restaurant at the top of the Stratosphere is 1st class, not cheap and book in advance. Well worth it though.

For good Asian food and dim sum, at a reasonable price, go to Noodles at the Bellagio.

Went with family in 2005 had a very special meal, food excellent, you must book though or you will turn up and be disappointed! VIP lift is a nice touch as well. Oh and if you want to do the rides, do them first as "Insanity" isn't one to be ridden with a full stomach!

Also can't be missed is a Breakfast at "Barbary Coast", great venue to end an evening / morning of poker. Its somewhat amazing to have to queue at 04:00am though but well worth it!

One of my favourites though is the Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas! Its an exact replica of the famous restaurant in Munich. At least you can get a decent beer, more details at http://www.hofbrauhauslasvegas.com/home/index.php

Have a great time !

I like Gallagher's Steakhouse in NY/NY, they have some excellent seafood dishes as well as tasty steaks, you can see the steaks hanging in their dry aging cabinate out side the restaurant. Pearl is a good Chinese it is located in the MGM Grand.

My favorite place is Hugos in the basement of the Four Queens!!!!!!
Its the best, fun place, just one of those out of the way places, and the fact its downtown is a bonus, I love going downtown for a night of drinking and poker.

If u want to spend alot of money go to Michaels at the Barbary coast, not cheap, very good

It would appear it's difficult to have a bad steak in Vegas...

(my 'great Vegas steak' was in the steakhouse at the Rio)

Hugo's cellar at the 4 Queens and Ruth Chris' steak house on Paradise. Also Steffano's in the Golden Nugget. Enjoy.
