hi guys,
is it possible to make voice recordings from my pc and make them into mp3 files?
(i'm not sure if i have a microphone)
any help appreciated,

that was pretty swift ironside,
yes, i'm starting an three-strong boy band,
but we have no funding so daddy's gotta figure it all for himself...((
there doesn't appear to be an external mike but i thought there might be an inbulit one that if i locate, i could croon into from a crouched position??

Print this out and stick it on the front of an old cereal box. Then get a piece of wire, sellotape one end to the back of the box and the other end to your keyboard. Then, as AdamM says, you'll have to shout really loudly, but it should work.  |

lol mics are dirt cheap and you should get a free one when you buy a webcamera which you can pick up for around £10 plug it in and your away the easiest way to make a voice file is to use sound recoreder which is free with windows it makes it as a .wav file rather than an mp3 there will be freeware software out there that you can get to make an mp3 though |

I can sell it to you for a very reasonable price. Sadly, my stock is currently impounded at the docks due to an oversight in paying customs duty because of cashflow problems. If you could see your way clear to sending £500 (FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS) to my bank account then I'll be able to get the picture to you. |

You can use a set of in earphones to act like a microphone if you plug them into the microphone socket. Used to use this to make skype calls to my roommate in uni. But you had to shout quite loud into it and he was in the room below me so probably just heard me shouting.
Luckily julian i also have that picture of the microphone for sale and its reduced for quick clearence so will sell it to you for 450pounds £1000 delivery charge

 Julian if you go to somewhere like PC World you can buy a headset (ie headphone with built-in microphone) for about £15. In fact do a search on www.pcworld.co.uk for 'headset'. |
