Hello UK - I am finally set in the luxurious press area of the Casino here in Baden, about to go and see what I've missed this morning.  So, one flight, two trains and a tram later, I've made it (somehow) from Wien to Baden and that's all that matters.

I could start this live update with a moan about delayed flights and delayed trains (the latter responsible for Tikay not being here quite yet) but instead I'll just say that it's about as glamorous as can be over here, and there's decent internet access, which is enough to be getting on with...

Please bear with me as I scout out the players and catch up from ever-helpful Rolf Slotboom, who had me a corner of a table all set and ready this afternoon.  Bless.

Sure, spacefrog - I will find as many as I can.  The actual tournament area is on a different floor to us Press, so there may be intermittent silence as I go and get chip counts etc. at least until the rest of Team Blonde arrive.

No problem... All I know for now is that with the blinds at 150 - 300 (starting stack 10,000 with a very reasonable structure), among the early exits were numbered Isabelle Mercier and Greg Raymer, and the early stack-doublers included Marcel Luske and Roland de Wolfe.  Going to hunt for El Blondie et al now.

Entrants were 175 or thereabouts, Frantic.

Just as I started on the old chips, they're on a 10 minute break...

Well, here's what I got in the few moments before they all started wandering around - all 119 who are left in...

Ben Grundy       8,825
Julian Thew       8,300 (although went right down to 3k at the start and says his chips "feel like 25,000 now")
Iwan Jones        6,300 (and gave his name spelling as F..I...S...H although I only wanted the first letter)
Jonas Helness   26,000
Roland de Wolfe 25,500
Simon Trumper  9,600

Apparently, Marcel is busy with the DVD (not out as far as Rolf can tell me) but he's busy with lots of things.

Could you tell/ remind me what David Barrie looks like, or if you know where he's sat?  I will do my best to find him if he's still here.  So far the press room is drawing a blank on him.
