Call.  If he has AA then that's unlucky.  If he has KK you are a bit behind but still have the overcard.  Anything else, it's a coin flip or you are well ahead.

From a learner it looks like a simple fold.

You're behind to any pair, a long way behind to AA & KK.

In front of a crap bet.

You need to win this bet more than 50 % of the time.

How can you calculate a range of hands that will do that ?

Also, just a sideways thought.

Either he's a clever player, in which case he's double bluffing you with AA

Or he's a crap player, in which case you'll outplay him during the game anyway.  Then you can pick up his chips more safely over time.

I call and reload another $22 sng if wrong

theoretically, what is the calculation to make on the equity of having 4,000 chips after one hand, assuming you win and the increased likelihood of cashing relative to the loss of $22 if you lose??

takin into account it was $22 i decided to call and take a coinflip (which i was thinkin it had to be) and take the chance of havin 4000 chips to start wiv. i kind of just felt like callin cos it was such a stupid bet and it annoyed me.

he had  and a  popped out on the flop to double me

a higher buy in im prob gonna fold

Call.  If he has AA then that's unlucky.  If he has KK you are a bit behind but still have the overcard.  Anything else, it's a coin flip or you are well ahead.

The problem with AK is that you are very rarely "well ahead"

Even if the guy has random crap such as T8os you are only about a 65%-35% shot.

In a sitngo I fold every hand for the first 3 levels unless it's AA KK or QQ
