I lost a satt. when I was 18000 to 2000 heads up and decided to retire from poker and Mick lost in a cash game on friday for the first time in 6 years and decided to drown his sorrows.
Retire at the top i like it!
Next league winner gets a trip to Vegas though, you might have to make a dramatic comeback to the game.....
Mick lost? I didn't know that was possible, what are the chances of him losing and you blowing that lead, it has to be in the billions!

Wow, Negreanu really has his finger on the pulse of what's happening in poker, doesn't he?
I wonder what he makes of the rumours that Stu Unger is looking a little spaced out.
Classic!

Very good timing of DN to post this just as Marc and Ram are going out there for the Bellagio event and to sort this out with Ivey. Arbitration has already been sorted with a very well respected player giving the final ruling but DN has obviously decided to start slinging the muck and trying to get everybody behind his mate before the arbitration. Maybe the timing of this post was just a coincidence though obviously

I'll give it a go, seeing as a couple of guys from Tehran have offered me a million dollars for the answer sheet once we're done.

Quote from: Daniel Negreanu from his forum
I wrote about this in defense of Ivey's who's name has been dragged through the mud in a blog written by Goodwin. Also, there's been lots of negative things posted about Ivey in relation to this stuff, and it's completely unfair.
Ivey knew I was writing the blog and was in favor of it.
Ivey doesn't post on the internet, but heard all of the negative stuff being said about him, and gave me the ok to tell
his
side of the story.
Note that last sentence - DN clearly implies that this is not merely his opinion of things, but Ivey's opinion, which DN is posting on his blog.
Looks like Ivey is trying to put a little PR pressure on Marc and Ram via his patsy.
EDIT: Actually, he does explicitly state this further on.
Quote from: Daniel Negreanu from his forum
As for me doing this for Ivey, he specifically asked me to. He was upset that people were writing lies about him and asked me to blog it since he knows my blog has a wide audience.

I have e-Mailed a Link to this thread to Marc, & he will reply in due course.
He told me in Monte Carlo that he & Phil Ivey had sat down to settle it out there, but made no progress.
The issue is somewhat more complex than it would seem on the surface.
