Are blind people allowed to play live poker? You know, with someone to look at their cards and tell them what they've got. It's been worrying me.

Yes, but would they be allowed to have someone sit with them and tell them what their cards were? It seems horribly unfair...

Also if your pal telling you what cards you had was phil ivey he might be giving you a couple of taps under the table or a major Ingram cough everytime you go to make a play he doesn't agree with.

What about if it wasn't the guy's mate, it was an independent third party, and he whispered really really quietly?

Like a poker guide dog?

What about if the independent third party was a really crap poker player and was inadvertently giving off loads of tell's, a Little sigh or holding his breath when the flop comes down? the blind guy's sitting there like a rock and his advisers jumping about all over the place!!

Occupational hazard. None of that seems to be any reason to stop someone from playing. I'm going to start a campaign! If I can be bothered.

Your guide dog wags his tail every time you hit a set, most impractical.

In seriousness, it is surprising there is no program to assist the visually impaired to play internet poker. Only a matter of time I guess.

I don't see why not.

Blind fencing exists. You get a seeing partner shouting instructions at you. Many of the reactions are done by feel anyway.

I must try it sometime, it'd be a hoot. bB4?

There is a blind guy who plays in vegas with someone telling him his cards and the flops, so yes is the answer.
