Well there will be at least one if not two English teams in the Champions league final. If we have two English teams in the final I will be extremely proud to be English. Just think of some of the players that we will be may able to watch such as
Ronaldo
Drogba
Kuyt
Alonso
Shevchenko
Ballack
Essien
Heinze
Alonso
Agger
The list goes on
I do hope that an English club wins the final.

I was talking about this with a mate the other day.  He mentioned the other home counties but I dont' agree that you can count them in an English line up, they are as good to England as French, Dutch, German players etc, they are either English or not.

Anyway, it doesn't bother me anyway.  I'm happy to watch the best players in the world playing in the English Premiership.  It's a shame there aren't more English, but what can you do.

united fielded 5 Englishmen last night.but for injury and suspension line up would also have included Scholes and Neville, making 7 English players.

I always wonder whether those who bemoan the lack of English players in the top premiership teams

Also bemoan the lack of white sprinters in our atheletics teams  stirthepot

Personally I think the 'Champions League' sucks.

At least the name does. 3 English teams in the semi's now, hardly a league of champions.

All the old European scoring records are getting bladdered now, only because of the volume of games.

Good format, I love watching it but the competition's title is well past it's sell by date.
