Pefkos or lindos were really cheap on the greek island of rhodes... me and the mrs went for 2kws 3 yrs ago when we were on a tight budget think it was under £200 for us each 14 nts self catering really enjoyed it.
Lindos is great - spend the day on the beach while all the bus tours are in town. Head back from beach via pub, go out to eat/drink really well and cheap when the bus tours are gone & it's a nice wee town again.

Not cheap unless you're a local - frigging expensive for the tourists. Great though.

I'm hoping to go away sometime in August early September with my Daughter , i think Pauls hoping we go to Alaska !! lol , also will be looking for late deals very cheap n cheerful and luckily she isnt bothered about nightlife so somewhere pretty quiet for us .
That was totally not helping you Poppet but looking forward to getting away

Charmaine, I can recommend you and your daughter going to Tsilivi in Zante, I went there last July and it was perfect, not too lively, not too quiet, the hotel was right on the beach and the weather was gorgeous. I stayed in the Zante Maris Hotel, I'd go back but want to go somewhere different, there isn't much point going to the same place over and over.

Don't know if it's still as cheap as it was, but I went to Rovinj in Croatia a few years back on an 'accommodation on arrival' deal with Thompson. Cost about £200 per person for two weeks half board. Very beautiful place and would highly recommend it - only 90 minutes to Venice by ferry as well if you fancy a day trip.

Had a think about it, decided not to go on holiday until I go to Florida for my 21st birthday in March 2008, plenty of time to pay off my car and save. Unless I have the luck I've had this week then I could pay with all my blackjack/bingo winnings!
