ok am in swansea 100 quid with  1 rebuy/addon. 5k starting chips, early doors- first  circuit blinds 25/50. table is generally full of loose/passive players with one lag( v good player imho) two to my left.

i am in sb with  two spades

bb  is inexperienced player who won a smaller buyin tourny at the weekend and is playing bigger buyin for the first time- he seems to over estimate his ability.

there are 3 limpers including lag utg i make up the blind and bb checks.

Flop two hearts three diamonds -it is checked all round  turn is

what do you do?

Bet 1/2- 2/3 the pot representing a flush draw and hoping another player with a 5 shoves.

ok. not much interest so far so this is what happened.....

I bet 200 (into a 250 pot) the bb calls and the utg lag raises to 700. so the pot is now 1350 with  me and bb still needing to at least call the 500.

Do I a) fold- er I think not so lets discount this

       b) call- whats the thought process here?

or    c) reraise- if so how much ( we all have roughly our 5k starting stacks less the bets made) and why?

i am worried about the lag i think the bb has a flush draw problem is a LAG could be playing 56s even UTG now we wouldnt put him on the 56 os spades as we have the 5 but he is now trying to stop the 2 of you drawing

he could of course have 2 pair or even a weehl wth no draw

personally i would pop it back at him and see what happens raise TOO 1800 should give you all the info you need

I agree...I'd have to reraise to about 2k here..take the pot here and now (and ofcourse pray he calls) but if he sticks them all in I sure as hell ain't folding as you also have the flush outs.

what happens if you stick the 2k in and the bb flat calls and the lag goes in?

i think 1800 is enough for info if you get both players failing to back off you have enough knowledge now to fold

shove along with him. the BB will have to fold his draw. you are ahead of alot of his range. top two pair/trip 44/straight to 5 with no re-draw ect.

not in every situation. he is in the BB. if he has two spades they are not likely to be that big. he probably raises the turn with the K of spades. if he thinks there is a higher flush draw out there then he folds?

depends on how good he actually is

if he calls then 1800 or 2k depending on how you play it then he is more than likely be fishy enough to call the all in

ideally you get him to fold but if he calls then you have to discount your flush draw

just a note on my image- lag knows me as solid player- the Bb prob doesnt have a clue.

I decide to flat call- my feeling at the moment is that my draw may not be live,  and am happy to see river  then decide- 2 pr or trips are possibilities- i will get called for sure- and possibly repopped-  with hindsight- i think the reraise is correct here.

as it turns out i call and the bb rereraises  another 2k- the lag calls so now the pot is 2k + 2k + 2100 + 250 = 6.35k i have 750 invested, have 4.25 back and it will cost 2k to call

do I a) fold
      b)  call
      c) push allin

what hands do you now put the bb  and lag on?

Putting them on the case 5's unless they really are muppets. Probably A5 for one and maybe 45 for the lag. But its all irrelevant here, the pot is HUGE.
Im not passing, ALL in baby!!
