The following link is from the Las Vegas Sun newspaper.

Yesterday this article appeared regarding the worlds first 'Invitation Only' poker tournament which will take place at the Palms in January.

100 entries - $250,000 entry fee - $15M for 1st place

Puts to EPT to shame eh??

The line that tickled me

"We are trying to treat them like athletes"

them being the poker players

in some instances, that really is a interesting job

I can give you my impressive time for a 100m sprint, but you'll have to wait, I only started a few minutes ago.

Watch out for all those 'Backer Required' posts!

I'm sure if everyone of the 1400+members of this forum chipped in $1500 or more then we'd be able to send Dave C.

If I had 250 big ones I'd buy a bloody house.
Anyone else this the amounts involved are obsence? Just how much stake do you need to create a well structured serious game which is a good test of skill?
