Dusk Till Dawn's Kevin O'Connell has taken two hits to drop him down to 240k, one of which involved him re-raising pre-flop with Sixes, pushing on a 7-8-2 Flop but being outdrawn by Sixes, a cruel River card giving his opponent an undeserved set.
eh?

The fantastically named Marcello Del Gross has just doubled up against Sam Grizzle with
vs.
on a
board, all-in on the flop.
For a moment there, I think Marcello's heart stopped beating.

A few counts before the stacks get unwieldy (but look so damn good on TV)...
Paul Testud 90k (The lasted-longer of five French entrants)
Mikael Thuritz 560k
Sam Farha 300k
Abraham Mosseri 230k
Jared Hamby 294k
Anna Wroblewski 560k
Johan Storakers 220k
Barny Boatman 250k
Mark Gregorich 300k
Jesse Martin 240k
Robert Wazelle 235k
Sorel Mizzi 700k+
Tim Phan 200k
Praz Bansi 165k (Whispering to me the two least favourite words of the card player after 'bad beat' - 'card dead')
Humberto Brenes 56k
Roland de Wolfe 730k
Scott Fischman 625k
Steve Wong 710k (pictured)

You know those Hellmuthisms you see on TV and all that ranting, raving and general poker Bratiness he's famous for. Well, it's not just for the cameras, as I just witnessed first hand.
Raising it up to 15k pre-flop, young gun Shawn Bucahanon, who is currently chuckling away to himself, made it 51k and Phil called.
Flop =
Phil check and Shawn bet 120k, Phil called.
Turn =
Check, check
River =
Check, check
Hellmuth shows A-6 whilst Shawn takes down the pot with K-7.
This is where Hellmuth explodes, challenging the pre-flop re-raise, sarcastically calling his opponent a genius for betting the worst and checking the best before annoucing that this player won't make the end of the day.
Great entertainment for all involved.

Also (pictured) on Big Stack Watch, Patrik Antonius, Sorel Mizzi and Scott Fischman, who has the best stacks, eye-watering to count though they may be. He started on 100k today, but his Climber of the Last Two Days title comes from his returning from the start of the second day with just 8,000... Impressive though Thomas Wahlroos' 250k is, Scott takes the trophy.
Bonus points, which GUKPT winner has the same shirt (do they know something about this talismanic symbol from our collective childhood I don't know?)?

My apologies, let me say it again...

"You want to bluff off 200,000 of your chips to the best in the world? You want to take on the best in the world with K-7? You can't even spell poker..."
I am so heading for that table now...

Not this time - 109 - there is currently a redraw! They are going to hand out all new cards and then they musical chair it all at the same time...I'm getting the hell out of the way.
