Basically it allows you to never throw anything away as the 2Gb they give you is more than plenty for a lifetime of emails.
Anyway...they don't even have a DELETE MAIL button..its called ARCHIVE!

I also have invites for GMAIL, but I think this new one is going to be even better.
It looks very much like Outlook Express when you get into it.

Gmail is good... No offending pop-up adds, limited junk mail as opposed to others like hotmail, although it will probably catch up soon. Lots of funky tools being developed for it all the time.
You can link it in with google talk, to make free phonecalls through your pc and use it as an IM client. You can integrate it with your browser so you can be notified when new mail arrives. The search facility is excellent too.
They have a "delete forever" button after you move the email to your trash mail folder.
Advert over ;-)

Didn't realise you said 1000GB... that's interesting... what are they getting out of it? No advertising? No cost? I don't think I'll use more than the 2GB I have with gmail, but it does sound good, if you have that much mail. My gmail accounts is sitting at 30Mb so I don't think I need to switch just yet.

The worrying thing about Gmail is the fact that they will index all of your emails and create a profile of you which is linked to their search engine and advertising business.

I've heard people say this before, and I can't understand why this is a bad thing. Surely the whole reason why junk mail is annoying is because it's of no relevance to me - if Google can build up a profile of me which means I only see adverts which are of interest to me isn't that a good thing? At least Google are being upfront about how they'll eventually make money from Gmail - Mailnation look like the 'totally-free' ISPs which there was a flurry of a couple of years ago, promising the earth for nothing and then collapsing under the weight of their failed business model - ie a bunch of chancers. I have to agree with Mark Gmail rocks.

If it doesn't worry you then fair enough; if it does worry you then you can avoid it - As long as you know about it that is.
It's the same as all these loyalty cards, they make up huge profiles on you and get to know everything about you (especially a multistore card like nectar). Some people are fine with, some aren't, some just don't realise what's happen.
I don't use either of them as I don't think that what they give me is enough for the valuable information they get out of me.
I also can't see why you'd ever need a 1GB (let alone 1000GB) email box unless you're trying to send huge files around (in which case there are better options than email).
