i was going to post in this thread yesterday but never got time, i was out all day and then there was the blonde tourney. congratulations to all that made the final table and thank you to the organisers.

right here goes:

when i joined the forum i didnt know anybody on here personally, i had played against some people but that was it. i was made to feel welcome right from my first post. since being a member i have been fortunate to meet a few people from here. ive met reddog, snoppy, ifm, jammer, ironside and junior all at walsall and i must say each and every one of them were very friendly and gave me the time of day, i also met tikay, colchester kev,djinn,bobby1 and ariston in vegas although only briefly each one of them said hello and were friendly. i have also had people come and support me when doing well in tourneys online which is fantastic. i saw one thread where brian wilson and tonyG were railbirding someone which total respect has to go to these guys.

i have also been fortunate enough to play in 3 blonde tournys and a heads up tourney where i was playing in the same comp as a european champion, a wsop braclet winner, last years top ranked european and current leader of the european rankings just to name a few. this just goes to show what a great forum this really is

this place has always been fun, informative and very very friendly so lets keep it that way. i, for one, am proud to be a blondite.

tikay i think you have the support from everybody on here and i think the moderaters you have appointed will have too.

keep up the great work we do appreciate it

Thanks Dan - your post sums up perfectly what blonde is about, & is the message I was trying to send to Simon Trumper a few posts further up this thread. I do hope he reads it.

I had the pleasure of sitting next to Simon Trumper in a Tourny during last years CPC, and what a lovely guy he was.. Mind .. he took me out  of the tourny  Undecided.. but still found time to have a brief chat about the way I played my last hand.

I've PM'd Simon, asking him to call me. I am hoping I can persuade him to start posting again on blonde. He got visciously attacked & abused elsewhere, so he stopped posting everywhere. Our loss. But I'm working on it!

Doing my best Nun. Harder is difficult at my time of life.

PS - I go Even Money we get Simon back. It's natural for one of the world's greatest players, & writers, to wanna discuss poker, so fingers crossed.

If we are all quiet and move slow, it will be fine Smiley

Hi Tikay,

I'm planning to be in London for the next 3yrs but there's no danger of me changing my name to London Billy (just wouldn't sit well with me). I'll definitely be playing more at the Gutshot (so looking forward to bumping into more Blondites and also wanna natter with TightEnd about quizzes & stuff) and will be more active on the forum once I get settled into a decent routine.

Once again, WELL DONE at 'The Masters' and I hope to be sat at another Final Table with you in the not too distant future.

Cheers,

Will.

Do I really need to add my views to this thread?

Agree flushy, blonde is BACK. I sholulda acted quicker, with hindsight, but we DID need to not only be fair, but seen to be fair. We tried, we failed, we sorted it. Case closed.

I only joined here a week or so ago and thought a couple of the abusive messages were over the top. Good to see these are not the norm and are being dealt with accordingly.

Good post tikay, sir
