Just a question.

In an MTT, you've ben struggling to hang in there, and at 10xBB you've been looking to try to get your money in, but with no cards, or people pushing before you, you haven't had the chance.

Then the blinds go up, & there are 3 hands before the BB reaches you.  You now have less than 5x BB, so you have to push with any 2 in the next couple of hands.

Given that you're not going to get a good hand, are you hoping to get a high card with a low kicker, or 2 mid connectors.

Would you prefer A4o, or 87o Huh?

2 mid connectors everytime..I would not want to be dominated by anyone who will call..even 87 off would be preferred to say Q10.

I'm glad you said that.

I'm sure you sussed that this is based on a real situation.

I was getting near the knuckle.  We were down to the last 15, I was about 12th or 13th, but there were a couple of hangers on with virtually zero stacks. Top 10 paid, but the main money was in the top 5, & especially first & second.

A double up would have given me 10xBB & with 15 min blinds, I'd have had some breathing space.  A triple up would have put me in a very nice position.

The Ax hand came & I was so close to calling, but was pleased I let myself get timed out, until the flop showed AAx & the turn was a 4.

The very next hand was the 87,  & I immediately pushed.  The flop gave me an up & down st8 draw, but it didn't complete, & someone called with KJ & another with Ax.  A pair of kings took it down.

Me, results oriented ?  How very dare you even suggest it.

I agree.

Although 87 would never stop me pusing with 5x bb I am pushing as soon as I can!  92o included!
