Well, even though the player possess a breathe easy 20k starting stack, we've still managed to lose Magide Kerzazi, who called a pre-flop re-raise of 6,400 with Queens and got the rest in, inevitably, on the raggy Flop. Of course, his opponent had Aces and swiftly doubled up.

Breaktime news from Mr Colclough, but don't get too excited...

"I'm on 20,700, played just the one pot, calling a small raise with K-Q and then check-calling A Queen high flop and a blank Turn, before checking it down on the end to win the pot. I think he gave me around 1,500 in total."

Not too much action at the moment, as you'd expect from a 20k event with 68 players on Day 1, the last half decent pot I caught sight of being one that Warsaw EPT runner-up Farid Meraghni took down with a 4k bet on a two spades.

However, I did get a snap of Copenhagen EPT 2006 Champ Mads Andersen (cough).

And just as I'm moaning about the lack of breath-taking non-stop action (my wrists shall be slapped), I stumble upon a sudden exit.

As I trundled over innocently to Table 6, I had a feeling something was about to go down when I spotted 4k in the pot and the dealer announcing '4 handed pot (although in French) as he dealt out the Flop.

Shaoul Derdugo checks, Gilbert Chahine checks, Nouel Antoine bets 1k and Xavier Laszc fold.

Then, out of the blue like a tikay pot scoop, Dedugo made it 3k, Antoine pushed all-in and Dedugo called without hesitation.

Table Goodwin:

Csaba Kuremszki -- 20,425
Z Illia -- 39,550
Jan Boye -- 17,050
Mateyboy -- 24,350
Walid Bouhabib -- 22,550
PP Ruscalla -- 31,875
Jonas Molander -- 6,250

Table Kabbaj:

Jean Noel Thurel -- 17,050
Antonius Gueorguieu -- 37,825
Tony Cascarino -- 18,800
John Kabbaj -- 9,000
James Campbell -- 14,650
Nichlas Saarisilta -- 12,500
Jani Sointua -- 3,200
Mateyboy -- 19,975
Johan Storakers -- 19,325

As I was acculmulating chip counts, John Kabbaj dropped down to that paltry 9k at the hands of Seat 2, Antonius Gueorguieu (boy, that's a lot of vowels!).

Pretty standard to be honest...

John =

Antonius =

Flop =

Antonius bet 1.8k, John made it 5k, Antonius pushed for 12,850 more and John called, albeit hesitantly and half-aware that he'd probably had to catch.

Turn = three diamonds

Meanwhile, Jared Davis, who I believe could be an American player, has just seen his chips go sailing over to Maurice Atlani. Didn't quite see how it panned out, but when I joined the board read and Maurice had As to Jared's .

Jared, who's now down to just 4.8k as a result, looked pretty pissed off, so I'm guessing all the spondoolies went in before that testical crushing River.
