During the slow low early part, players with concentration-span limitations or simply to reduce boredom multitask:
1) Ramzi Jelassi Paying minimal attention, reading: 'More Sensational Knitted Socks'
2) Patric Mortensson Also reading: 'Wristwatch Annual 7'

Geordie boy Paul Gourlay is on 23k and yoy-ing more than most, one his most profitable hands being a raising war with Deauville 2005 victor Mats Iremark, both flopping sets on a Q-T-6 rainbow Flop, Paul's Tens dominating Mats' Sixes. Fortunately for the Swede, he managed to escape after the umpteenth raise.

In fact, take a look at Rolf's notepad and subsequently the smallest writing in the world.
There's a year's worth of live updates on that one sheet!

With one minute left of this level, I thought I'd get out of the way before they all head out to the bar etc. This means that I only had time to count two tables this level, so preoccupied was I with photoshopping Snoopy etc. Sorry.

Michel Cohen 15,925
Mark Teltscher 16,325
Alain Layani 19,100

Herve Schoukroun 17,800
Yuri Kerzhapkin 24,700
Xavier Detournel 18,650
Eric Larcheveque 22,000
Table 6
Noel Gleans 33,800
Jason Lester 18,100
Guillaume Delta Gorce 15,600
Steve Zolotow 22,250
Patrick Schull 22,500

Sry no sign of either, although we must remain patient on the gurnage.

Alexandre Broca is gone, which means that we're down to 67 with blinds of 100/200.

Yuri Kerzhapkin raises to 600, Xavier Detournel makes it 1,500, Yuri re-re-raises to 4,200, Xavier passes.
I thin Yuri had Aces - would you make a move on man called Xavier?...

This is Clement Amagat. I've seen him somewhere before (can't remember where), so I guess this is the Return of the Mac (ahem).
Anyhow he's running well with 26k, although he did just get re-raised off a
Flop by Guillaume Darcourt, a chunky 10k re-raise to the 1.5k bet being more than enough.

Guillaume Darcourt has just eliminated Benjamin Scampini,
vs.
on a
Flop.
The heart-unfriendy 4 Turn and 3 River were of no use and Benjamin was understandably gutted.

Interesting hand between Farouk Bensalem and Ray Coburn, the latter betting 1.5k into a 1.5k and a board
after 3 players (Bensalem, Couburn and Darcourt) had checked the Flop.
Bensalem called and both players saw a
River. Darcourt checked again, Coburn bet 2k and Bensalem swiftly called.
Bensalem =
Coburn =
Close call, but Bensalem just about takes it.
