I've been playing without a bankroll for a while now so I've combined a move over to DTD for my poker with an effort to build a new one from scratch.

I've always concentrated on STTs and have had reasonable success. I also dabble in MTTs but only as a sideline. I've never really played much cash. never thought I was much good at it. However, with an eye on the trader scheme in the future I thought I'd give it a crack. i think I know the basic strategy  I should be using from talking to successful cash game mates.

Started small by putting minimum deposit of £25 in. starting multi tabling $0.15/$0.25
turned the £25 into £100 in cash since 1st may but my leak is I still like to start the sessions with a couple of shots at MTTs because I'm looking for a bit hit to get me going. so my profit from the cash has gone into MTT buyins.

BUT I've discovered the $5 32 seat Heads Up shootouts. played two, won two and felt very comfortable doing it. I have some faith in my HU game so I think I'm going to stick to this. nice little boost to my new roll.

HU shoot out to start the session then multi table cash with no forum / email / web distractions. see how it goes

good luck.
for myself, the more distractions I have, the better the result.

Sometimes for me distraction is key makes me less likely to play bad hands through boredom.

I've found the HU shootouts to be very profitable - best of luck (unless you're up against me) Smiley

I only agree with Forums, Email, TV in the background, 2 children the list is endless,
The wife does not NAG, she is helpful, loving, caring and makes you cups of tea, to aid you in winning her lots of money.

Womens intuition can be the only reason she ever checks the forum on the day after i've made a mistaken post.
