we all know how the press can twist things. I for one would be very surprised if Norman had made any reference to this project being for 'attractive' women only.
Norman's a blondite and is bound to read this thread soon enough - let's give him the right to reply to the published comments before taking things as read and making accusations of discrimination.
oooh norman is it now ;-) how long you been on the course?
LOL. if it does turn out to be accurately reported, I don't imagine I'll be invited!
I'd invite you, Claw.

What your a teenager
I'm surprised somebody hasn't already done this. I thought of a similar opportunity last year. In a game dominated by men why not look at any angle that could be a marketing success. Sex sells. Just watch the "Kings of poker documentary"

Norman Pace, one half of Hale and Pace, the comedy duo, has launched a company that trains attractive female poker players. Pace hopes that, once trained, they will appear in tournaments and win sponsorship deals. He will take a cut of anything they earn.
“Generally it’s male dominated. Women play online, where they can hide behind their laptops,” says Pace, who has been playing for four years and is married to a professional poker player.
Candidates need to have “a passion for the game and a keen desire to learn”. So far four women fit the criteria. “It’s going to be a bit like Charlie’s Angels ,” he says...
I hope you'll be telling them to join blonde.
I notice Mr Pace wasn't actually quoted in saying the word attractive

I'm confused: will he be upping the ante on who's the hottest poker player, and will his trainees be good enough to cash in the Women's UK Poker Tour? Have the DTD models been signed up?
To paraphrase Twiggy Rathbone: Tits sell poker magazines - they also buy them.

;
Trust Charmaine - a woman, I'm led to believe - to get it right.
Norman said,......
“Generally it’s male dominated. Women play online, where they can hide behind their laptops"
And, crucially, in respect of the selection criteria, where the word "attractive" would be key....
a passion for the game and a keen desire to learn
I freely confess that Norman - blondeite "spiny" & his wife of half a lifetime Bev (also a blonde) are good friends. But I think he is being attacked here under a false premise.
"Stick" & "wrong end of" come to mind.
