I know of an attractive female poker player who says nothing when she's treated as 'norkage' but I see her seething at not taken as seriously as she deserves as a poker player (she's a VERY good player). I know she finds it very frustrating but she's never complained aloud. guess it's easier to let it pass than challenge it. I won't use her name, but you all know her well too. I hope she decides to speak up one day.
In general life I'm sure we all like to be flirted with or have our egos massaged but I think the need to encourage ALL women to feel more comfortable in the poker world is harmed by focussing on their attractiveness rather than their abilities.

OK OK, I think we're all missing a very important point here.
Yes they should be attractive and in their 20's or 30's..that's all well and good..BUT unless they are single, have no taste in men have hardly any morals and can't suck a peach through a straw..what bloody good is it?
Seriously though..who cares,..I don't care about Jenifer Tilly playing poker and won't care about a UK version (probably some Essex wife type WAG) of her playing poker unless she is really good.
I wouldn't even start to take any of them seriously in the same way that I don't take Celebrity poker players (like McCririck on Channel 4) seriously. If I want to watch poker I'll watch top poker players like Ivey, Gus Hansen, Annie Duke, TK etc. ..If I want to look at attractive women I'll buy porn (or look at my lovely Mrs.)
Any attempt like this is on a par with the Sun's page 3 and the Daily Sport..it might get the idiots to start playing poker and get a bit of publicity for the pokerroom/school but if hot totty is all you bring to the poker world noone will take you seriously.
