The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Before I get to work in the crowd throwing out Good Luck messages like carnival candy - I reckon that Day Two's play will start within about ten minutes, despite the cinema atmosphere around the TV screens showing football downstairs.

Unexpected, but rather satisfying.  It will most likely be early carnage, as ever in the first levels of a Second Day, so we're going to tag team from the floor for a while.

And....Action!

Carnage!  Brevity required.  Must save energy for repeated multiple stair climbs.

DOUBLED UP:

John Exley, who pushed for 17k after a preflop raise to 3,600 with and outraced the calling ...

Barny Boatman, at the expense of Steve Read, it all getting in on a flop of

Terence Burke (vs. Alan Mc Bride, who's now OUT) - short stack vs. short stack to create one medium stack after Burke found after McBride moved in with .

OUT:

And I shall proclaim my picks, now:

OK they were going to be the same as Homer's but since we can't be betting on having that:

Barny Boatman, at the expense of Steve Read, it all getting in on a flop of
Barny showed:
Steve showed:
Turn and river:  ...leaving the online-popular Read with just 4k (8 chips and a chair)

Boatman, the hand previously had knocked out another stack with Sevens against Ace Queen. DC said he just didn't give his cards back for the 7-7 vs A-J next hand.
Speaking of the Blonde one, he just flat-called a 1.5k bet on a board, before raising a 2k bet on the turn to 5.3k. His opponent gave it a long dwell before passing. (Pic 1)

Ed Arees and Trevor Reardon are both OUT.

Jeff Kimber has just suffered crippleage at the hands of D Jolowicsz (Pic2) with Ace King against Queens.

Finally, here's a picture of Table Talkative, whose participants include: Shaf, Roberto Romanello, Praz, Jim Kerrigan and Mad Marty. (Pic3)

Matt 'Mango99' Dale and Anthony Romanello. (Pic4)

John Exley, Iwan Jones and Flushy discussing the exit of Lucy Rokach, who manage to do all her chips with A-4 against A-K. (Pic5)

William Delaney is a goner after his short stack got a spin from the crushing of Jeff Rogers.  No miracle, and the first table has broken...

And there are empty spaces where Jeff Nathan, Alan Rutter and Tina Avery were sitting at the beginning of the level too.  There could have been one in Kourosh Nikkhahe's place too, if he'd made a different decision, facing a preflop re-raise from Steve Jelinek.  He considered until the clock was put on him, then passed, only to be shown Jelinek's .

A bit more detail on that surprise early Rokach exit... tablemate Iwan Jones said she "cracked up" after getting pushed off a couple of hands.  The real damage was that A-4 hand, with which she raised Damian Evans' 5,200 preflop raise all-in, for around 50k.  He went for it with his A-K and the chip distribution on that table has changed completely.

For example, this man - Albert Sapiano - starting the day second in chips, has very quickly surpassed the leader by a good 40k, after getting one of those usually-so-profitable AA vs. AK preflop situations.  Estimate of 180,000, at the moment.

Dave Colclough and Barny boatman see a small blind/big blind flop, which Barny bets out immediately for 1,500 and takes down.  They both take a sip of water at the same time, look at each other, and Dave remarks, "It's going to be a long day."
