OK just sat down at the table about 3 rounds ago and mateyboy is the big stack who's fairly active when he has a hand which is why I called preflop.

What do people think of my shove here..the result is immaterial but I thought every 7 ten jack or queen would give me the nuts and he would not call me if a straight card came on the turn

that's what I thought...matey boy who lost it and some others actually claimed it was a poor shove and I don't play omaha that much (just the occasional cash game) that I thought I had lost my mind.

A wrap (ok not a full one) on a 3 tone board is a monster, they only reason you wouldn't raise would be to see if the board pairs the turn before getting your money in!

Good point Mr Flushy.

I think I am shoving here every time.  And thats probably where I am going wrong by not waiting to see if the board pairs on the turn before getting it all in.

I think its generally easier to pass a set to a danger card on the turn than it would be to pass on the flop.
