blonde & our Cardroom
«

We had our best ever month in May, so a big thank you to everyone who supported blonde by playing on the bpc.
"best ever" needs to be seen in context though. It's enough to pay the wages, & Update Costs for a normal month (not a WSOP month though!) but it's a long way from enough to do the things we need & want to, which include....
1) Investing in the Live Updates to make them better, with the aid of technology, & a bigger Team of Updaters.
2) Paying our wage earners better, we don't pay them nearly enough.
3) Adding others to the payroll who are currently working on a promise.
4) Improving the site generally.
blondepedia arrives soon, that's gonna be just terrific, but you could never imagine the hard work that's gone into it.
We have run a Mansion promotion for a goodly while now, & lots of members have benefitted greatly from that, which is great, but it'd be lovely if we could get more players supporting blonde.
I'm pleased to say that we don't have an overdraft, or borrowings, we pay all our bills, we are VAT compliant & Tax-compliant, & we are squeaky clean in all statutory areas. We have some committments (mainly as noted in 3) above), but that apart, we wash our face. Still, some of those that work hardest for blonde have never had a penny in Salary, & we need to address that sooner or later.
The Forum is very popular, & lots of folks enjoy it for what it is, a fun place to visit, & totally free. We just ask that in return, you try & support it's existence & improvement, you consider playing now & then on bpc.
We are trying to strike the right balance between being free & independent, & going "commercial". Some Members object loudly when we even whisper the word "commercial", but hey, this place costs an arm & a leg to run, & we are not asking for charity, just play on blonde now & then. It's astonishing how few blondes actuallly do! We get a bit of abuse here & there, that's fair enough, but it's easier to take if it's from "Clients" rather than Members who don't play on bpc. (We have to be nice to them, see?).
So if you can manage a few sessions on bpc, we'd be muchly grateful. Our long-term goal is for bpc to finance blonde totally, then we won't need to have advertisers, so the "commerrcial" aspect goes away. Except of course, we'll always need to "push" bpc, via the Forum, Home Page, & Newsletters. We don't think that's too big a price to pay for independence.
Thanks.

Why would you want to play on a cardroom where the players are as weak as Colchester Kev and tikay? Surely you want to play against good players so you have a challenge rather than face mugs who are just going to throw money at your left right and centre.
Oh go on, you've twisted my arm.

Is there a loyalty bonus for casino play ?

Snoopy I have seen you play. By comparison Kev is a god and you need to show some respect to your older and larger peer. I have seen him enter a poker room and it fall silent. Every waitress in the place realises that an easy day of serving coffee and Tuna sandwiches will be replaced by hourly demands for ..double sausage, bacon, beans, hash browns, and two eggs. Four slices and seven cups of tea.
The dealers will be rewarded with his wisdom on how to deal him AA every hand. While he leers down their blouse...and thats the guys.
The other players have to shove a sock in their mouth to stop the laughter of his play. Kev will throw his usual insults of "muppet" at us all. A small price to pay when he donates all his chips to us.
So Snoops, when you think you can raise your game to this level., then feel free to give this lovely chap some stick.

I do have a blonde account and i must admit i hardly ever play on it, which i do feel a touch guilty about to be honest as I would miss this place if it went under due to financial pressure.
I am pragmatist though and like alot of winning poker players i go where i can make the most money. As an stt grinder ipoker is a no no, as tank's brief effort at playing there demonstrated.
