He's took a team of misfits, plodders and a smattering of world class players and turned them into a threshing machine of a side that oozes personality.

Pep inherited a rolls Royce squad. Had a net spend that was four times that of klopperty yet could only finish a point ahead.

I know who's team I prefer watching. unless your a billionaires play thing pep doesn't want to know. a genius coach but he is the polished pop of Taylor Swift to klopp's Kurt Cobain.

One is top of the charts, but I know which moves me more.

Hail hail.

Getting bored of listening to the 'they only lost one game all season' nonsense.  Drawing 7 games cost them the title. Everyone keeps saying 'they will need the perfect season next year to win it' no they won't just draw less games.

Sunderland lost less games than everyone in league one but didn't go up because they drew half their games.

Equally not drawing games got Spuds into the top 4 because 3 points for a win system its more important to WWL than WDD for obvious maths reasons.

It's not really nonsense though is it? Yes, we all know that it's better to win than draw, and to draw than lose. It's more the 'headline factor'; just a single defeat in 38 games (which in itself is almost unheard of) and yet they still couldn't do the business. I will be mightily surprised if we ever see a team come 2nd with 97 points again.

And with that sole defeat coming at City, you could argue it was a pretty pivotal result Wink

I know people like to drone on about net spend and all that, but Klopp has invested significantly recently to close the gap; VVD, Allison, Fabinho, Keita all brought in for very hefty fees. Plus the net spend is somewhat skewed by the sale of Countinho.

The fact remains is that they have spent shit loads in the last 18 months/2 years to get close to us, had a domestic season they could only dream of and yet still came up a point too short.

And whilst Pep did indeed inherit a good squad, it was hardly brimming with talent; some world class players, some dross. We were still reliant on players like Sagna, Kolarov and Clichy in positions important to Pep's style of play, plus plodders like Fernando, Navas and Nolito making up the numbers.

Fortunately we've mostly recruited well, and all moulded together and masterminded by the genius of Guardiola.

To be fair to Pep, it was a BIG call to replace Hart, and look where he is now...

Has been a fascinating season and since Liverpool have strengthened the defense/GK it has resulted in a marked increase in clean sheets. The best thing that recently happened to Liverpool was that 150m from Courinho. With Lallana and the Ox to come back next season I’m not sure where else needs to be strengthened? Back up left back perhaps?

The people's champions.

A quarter of the net spend of pep, and from a much weaker starting position.

Klopp is the best manager in the world atm

This post illustrates why many non big 6 fans prefer any other team to win than Liverpool.

Pochettino has spent less than the price of Jurgen’s designer glasses, finished third in the league and given Klopp’s record in finals they are on the verge of winning the CL.

spurs are literally arsenal mkII.

if they were a band they'd be keane or olly murs.

i've savaged liverpool and their fans in this thread, but klopp is the real deal.

city obvs the greatest ever, but i think pep's the better coach. and i know whose teams i prefer watching.
