LOL - Kuyt has bad games, but he plays well more times than not. Yesterday was not an example of Kuyt having a bad game, was it?
As for Skrtel - he's been a liability all season. His positional sense is shocking at times. Yes, he can make a tackle and head the ball when he happens to be in the right place, but far too often he's out of position and leaves us exposed.
A fully-fit Agger is a very good player, but with his back injuries and yesterday with his illness, we don't seem to be able to have him playing well for a long, sustained period. Apparently his illness was related to the migraines he has (which could in turn be related to his back problems some have said). If Agger is fit and healthy he has to play. But he's looking to be as fragile as Aurelio.

He's a WC finalist FFS, how can anyone doubt that the man is, at least, useful in a footieside battling relegation is beyond me. He always puts in the effort and going forward he's always a threat. I would almost say Kuyt is underrated TBH.

No it wasn't, but pre-yesterday he's been lacking his usual energy imo, and Kuyt without energy is average at best. Suffering some kind of world cup hangover perhaps.
I can't belivee either that Torres isn't wrestling to get the ball for pens, albeit Kuyt took it nicely, but how many has Gerrard missed? I can remember at least 6

Torres used to take them for Athletico and missed a few. Has Kuyt missed (m)any? Kuyt always takes them when Gerrard isn't there. Also, when Gerrard isn't there we have Mereiles or Aurelio (when he isn't broken) to take corners - and they're far better than Gerrard's efforts. Gerrard should leave the corner-taking to others and instead linger just outside the box (Scholes-stylee) and I'm sure he'd do far more damage that way.

Not saying he should take them, just surprised hes not dying to take 1, even if Kuyt tells him to GTFO when goes to get the ball

His lack of energy is probably due to playing in a crap side and having to chase the game all the time. He usually has the stamina for the full 90mins+, but recently he's been blowing after 70mins.
There's no one who is beyond criticism at Liverpool. They all have bad days, but when someone who gets very little credit overall has a decent game and people criticise him, I'll defend them.

Dont know where to post this, not gonna start a new thread but wow am i shocked at 18m for Darren Bent and that he handed in a transfer request.
He is constantly tweeting how much he loves the fans at Sunderland and how it was the best move of his career, now all of a sudden hes handing in a transfer request to go to Villa? WTF is that all about.

Houllier was always a fan of Bent, and wanted him at Liverpool apparently.
Obviously not a bad player at all, but why move to Villa now? Why are Villa suddenly able to spend £18M on a player? Wonder what MON thinks about this?

Quite like marmite actually.
Not just you bashing Kuyt - lots of Liverpool fans won't ever give him any credit. Such a similar player to Ray Houghton (although Kuyt is better in front of goal), the main difference being that Houghton was in a much better side.

He really is massively underrated at Liverpool, top class player.

My memory is hazy though.

TBH, I didn't think much of the Dutch defensive line-up (inc the goalie) going forward we always looked good. Though admittedly I am not a big van of V Persie playing up front by himself. VD Vaart on the wing was also wasted IMO. And I sure as hell never thought we'd make it to the final as I didn't think we'd be good enough. (Lack of effort from some players going forward was a major part as well for me, sometimes they just look like they can't be bothered (V Persie is bad for this)
Kuyt is the type of player every team could do with. Sure there are players with much better skills. There are players who are faster than he is. But he always puts in 100% and has decent skill and decent pace. And he picks up the occasional goal, I'd settle for that at PSV every day of the week.
