Downig left back, enrique left wing? Why?
Coz Downing is a crap winger and Enrique has the positional sense of a lemming? Liverpool's front 4 now has pace and threat whether from left, right or middle. Excellent move. Looks a good move with Enrique, Agger can play LB right ?

Looks a good move with Enrique, Agger can play LB right ? Yeah he can but he's also our best centre half. And he doesn't offer real width at LB - he's more the solid type. Downing isn't brilliant there but he's not terrible either. It's a bit late at 29 but considering he offers little going forward he probs should have been a LB. Enrique is miles better at beating a man and is lightning quick, Downing is more positionally sound. Tbh if we had a decent RB I think the same should have been done with Glen Johnson. Sometimes it's just obvious, like with Gareth Bale.

Looks useful yeh. He's 3rd choice before Carragher. One for the future.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is confident Raheem Sterling will soon sign a new deal at Anfield, saying all parties "are in good dialogue".

Acknowledging I'm been flippant, but what's the dialogue.... Surely it's a mere case of... "What do you want?" "OK, sign here!"

Liverpool had more points at this stage of the season under Dalglish, but to be fair to Rodgers he was left high and dry by the club with the Carroll situation. I'm sure they'd have more points if there was another decent striker to play alongside Suarez. Liverpool have been unlucky in several games where they might have got more points (Everton game being the most obvious), and in others the lack of a potent strike-force has been all too obvious. Didn't see the Spurs match, but by all accounts Liverpool were playing well in the second half and could/should have come away with a point at least? But, they still couldn't score a goal for themselves and had to rely on the extra from Planet of the Apes to score for them with his face. Liverpool have obviously been poor this season, but so have so many other sides. Although they're only four points off relegation, they're not a million miles behind the likes of Spurs. The gulf between them and the top sides is massive though.

Dalglish and how he handled last seasons problems meant he simply could not stay. Regardless on how well or poor the team did. He had become a joke, both in terms of how he dealt with the press and handled difficult situations surrounding the team.
