The Liverpool team in full is: Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique, Gerrard, Allen, Henderson, Sterling, Downing, Suarez. Subs: Gulacsi, Assaidi, Coates, Lucas, Carragher, Suso, Shelvey.

Henderson starts, i think he has earned it

Interesting to see Allen start instead of Lucas. Hope the little break's done him some good.

we so need to work out why we play like we did against villa and stoke but then can play like we did in 1st half today (albeit not a good side, but then neither was villa)

Still not really delivered on his transfer fee and promise as of yet - but I still think he will, given time.  Definitely got a lot of potential.

re-sell value too. He will never go for less than 5m, so can take 5m off the fee right?

Improving for sure, but remembering we paid £16-20m for him still some way to go

Would be nice to buy a player and sell them on for more.  Other than Alonso and Torres, can't think of many that Liverpool have made a big profit on in terms of the sell-on fee.

Rare I disagree with you Daniel, but hate buying players then selling for profit.  We never used to be in that position and always found them and used them until past there best.

Times moved on of course, but if we buy and sell for profit, I'd have to asked (in the main) why they are leaving us as by the value they are clearly still top notch. So I'd hate the thought they are looking to leave us still in their prime!

Not saying we should be buying to sell - but if we do, it'd be nice to sell them at a profit.  Our business in the transfer market has been pretty terrible over the past decade.

It's been awful certainly. Wrong end of stick I think, I'm finding it hard to get my point. As a top club any player that we sell should never be worth more than we paid, as that would indicate to me they are leaving before or during their prime- title / CL type players if you will.

Agree with waz. Doubt united have made money on any transfer aside from Ronald's/ home grown player sales cos they never wanna leave. For example you could probs sell Suarez at a profit but would u be happy with that?

All the good business was generally done by Benitez.

Rafa ran the club at a £14m profit in his last 2 seasons. What could he of done with the funds KK, Roy and BR have had?
