Great performance from the keeper and back four today. Very solid.
Thought Sterling was excellent both going forward and defensively.

When you see it like that shows it off even more. Quality game. A pacey playet with confidence is a frightening prospect!
I think it'll show Hodgsons mentality towards the world cup with whether he starts or not. He'll be not to dis-similar to Owen's '98

Great performance yesterday thought sterling was fantastic has improved massively since that saints game I saw earlier in the season so much stronger and a more versatile game full stop, have to be honest I thought were very poor but being at the game yesterday you see the players believe they can do it............I just don't want to get too far ahead all six games are crucial we can beat anyone on our day but our defence will have bigger tests especially city

I woulda thought a Liverpool fan would know it was 25 years. Small, but important point.
As fr the league, I hope Liverpool win it. I've felt for a while, and posted on here 3 months ago or so, that I felt they could win it.
Good luck boys!

Some incredible records that have been or are being broken by Liverpool this year. It's been a great year, but it'd soooo much better if we can win the last six games
It'd also be a fitting tribute to the 96.

If Liverpool don't win the league this year, even though I am starting to think they will, do you expect to see Liverpool bounce back and win it next season or will next season be very hard for them. I remember back in 2009 when they came second and looked for a while like they were going to win it. There are a lot of similarities I can see between this season and that. Is this team better and will they be able to keep up the challenge and maybe start a new period of dominance?

I think Liverpool will do well next season, and will hopefully be able to strengthen the squad as well with CL pretty much assured.
Earlier this season I wanted to see Liverpool challenging and securing a top four spot, and then hopefully improve over the following few seasons to be a in a position to be involved in a title challenge.
We're well ahead of schedule. Not only that, but the way this season has transpired, Liverpool have put themselves in a position where they have been able to be right up there with only six games to go with the lightest squad in terms of depth out of all the top four. Next year Liverpool will be looking to compete in a number of competitions, and that will require more depth in the squad.
So yes, this year is a great opportunity, but it won't be a one off. It just might be a few more seasons will be needed to be in such a strong position with half a dozen games left.

The Liverpool XI: Mignolet, Johnson, Flanagan, Sakho, Skrtel, Gerrard, Henderson, Coutinho, Sterling, Suarez, Sturridge.
Substitutes: Jones, Toure Cissokho, Lucas, Moses, Allen, Aspas.

Two bad decisions from the ref first half. Surely a red card then a foul on Mignolet?

We need coutinho for his ability to open up a very tighy defense. Allen isnt going to be a match winner
