Terrible miss by Maxi, and some scary moments with some players dwelling on the ball in the wrong positions (Lucas and Skrtel), but otherwise a decent performance.
Good to see Carragher back, and I think the formation seems to be suiting him well.

Kelly and Johnson are working well spreading the diamond out. Back 3 looks ok - with Carroll and Suarez this system would be good imo.

Agree. The system maybe? Seems to thrive going forward. I know that's pretty obvious but Kenny is just doing obvious things. |

Johnson seems to be more effective defensively when he's playing as wing-back. He doesn't have the same restrictions on his movement forward, but seems to track and chase back well as a wing-back. Or maybe it's his hair-cut? |
