Liverpool will be wearing Warrior kit next season, in a £25m a year deal. Adidas were paying £12m a season.

Warrior are a subsidiary of New Balance, and based in Boston. Known for their ice hockey and lacrosse kit.

I thought Defour had another long term injury or did I imagine reading that somewhere?

Not sure, but if that's the case he can keep Aurelio and Agger company in the Kewell Suite (otherwise known as the physio's room.

It's only a mockup, but if it looks like that I'll be happy.

If the £25m figure is right it'll be the biggest kit deal in the history of English football.

Yes, and it will be until manu's comes up for renewal in 2015 (I think).

Apparently we have a great medical team. I guess they get the practice!

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/liverpool/8467063/Liverpool-medical-team-ahead-of-the-game-after-piling-resources-into-player-recovery-and-training-at-Anfield.html

Currently out (or just returned from injury):

Gerrard
Johnson
Kelly
Aurelio
Agger
Carroll
Carragher

Who else have I missed?  Hardly a squad in fine health at first glance - but I guess they've been a victim of circumstance, plain unlucky.

The first time we've beaten Birmingham in the league since 2004!  For some reason or another, they've been a massive bogey side for Liverpool.

Yesterday was a fantastic result, and good to see Flanagan and Robinson getting a start again (and doing well).  Maxi with a hat-trick, who'd have thought it?  Great performances from Kuyt and Suarez again, and when Carroll's fit again the three of them will be able to combine to great effect.

The five goals was very handy for the goal difference too, and with Hodgson's WBA doing us a favour yesterday, the unthinkable is now a possibility and we might be able to pip Spurs to that 5th European spot (although obviously Spurs are the massive favourties with the 3 points advantage AND a game in hand).  The remaining fixtures are interesting:

Spurs
Saturday, 30 April 2011
Chelsea v Tottenham, 17:30

Saturday, 7 May 2011
Tottenham v Blackpool, 17:30

Tuesday, 10 May 2011
Man City v Tottenham, 19:45

Sunday, 15 May 2011
Liverpool v Tottenham, 16:00

Sunday, 22 May 2011
Tottenham v Birmingham, 16:00

Liverpool
Sunday, 1 May 2011
Liverpool v Newcastle, 12:00

Monday, 9 May 2011
Fulham v Liverpool, 20:00

Sunday, 15 May 2011
Liverpool v Tottenham, 16:00

Sunday, 22 May 2011
Aston Villa v Liverpool, 16:00

Looks like a simple formula to me.  Liverpool have to win every remaining game and hope that Spurs lose to Chelsea or Citeh, as well as at Anfield.  Sounds easy when you say it like that, but it's not an impossibility.  Like I said, Spurs are favourites - but it's not a shoo-in.

After seeing this I had to do it myself.  I had Liverpool by 2 pts, and the same 3 to go down.  Saying that there are so many different scenarios on the last day for the bottom.  Going to be a sweat for 6 teams imo.

So close isn't it?  Which games did you have Spurs and Liverpool dropping points?

Spurs lose to Chelsea, City and Liverpool away.
Liverpool draw away to Villa on the final day.

West Ham have 3 very winnable games after City and I think the bottom teams have stopped winning as the pressure is on. I have 38 points being enough to stay up for Wigan and West Ham above them getting 39.
Think Wolves V Blackburn last day the winner will stay up - I have it as a draw and they both go down as a result on 37 points.

Forgot to mention the support from the Liverpool fans at Anfield yesterday for Houllier. He's in hospital with chest pains and hopefully he'll be fit and well soon.

Nice touch from the Kop chanting his name. As with Rafa, held in great affection by the fans. Get well soon Gerard.
