According to The Guardian Liverpool offered Andy Carroll to Man City in exchange for Carlos Tevez.

This is so funny on so many levels I don't know where to start.

Whoever on Merseyside could imagine that Andy Carroll could possibly improve Man City?

The men in white are coming to take him away!

If this swap was to occur I agree in footballing terms. But City would save 6m per year there after not to mention shipping off a player with virtually no resale value in 3 years, vs an English player (that won't depreciate... Oh wait it's Andy Carroll) that might still be worth a few bob in 3 years.

Plus it massively helps City with FFP.

Don't think City are too overly concerned when it comes to the issue of money, do you?

Didn't they just do a deal with Etihad airlines (owned by the same Arab who owns City) for naming rights to their stadium for a billion quid or something?

Which is why I mentioned FFP....

As Camel mentioned that ridiculous Eithad deal they were able to sign shows the whole farce of FPP.

It'll become a complete unenforceable farce. If anyone things Platini would genuinely ban Real or Barca from the Champs League they've lost the plot

Also I've just realised the strike means Tevez costs city zero in wages so my point is wel... Pointless.

Nice goal from Carroll, from a cracking ball by Adam.

For once the opposition keeper isn't giving a MOTM performance.

Kuyt's goal was a lovely move. Enrique from near his own goal, to Kuyt and then Adam who lined it up nicely for Kuyt to finish it.

Kuyt's 50th league goal for Liverpool.
