At the minute i would put united as slight favorites. Ive not checked the outright markets but i believe united were like 6/1 and liverpool 13/2

I think both them prices above are two short tbh i wouldnt wanna be taking less than (8/9)/1 on united at the minute. Liverpool similar but both clubs are two of the most well backed clubs in the premiership which will help with the price being short

Thanks for a great season.

In August we go again.

Love how 'we go again' gets this kind of traction. Humours me a great deal. Presumably this now means 'backwards'. gl jimbo and all the other Liverpool fans for next season. Back to top sixing it I imadge

Is that team Liverpool? I can't see you finishing 2nd or better next year which could be a regression..

What price would Liverpool be to finish higher than united in a match bet?

It's very hard to price up right now.  So many things will/could happen over the summer.  Suar could be gone, roon could be gone.

Doncha think it's gonna be incredibly tough for Liverpool to match this seasons performance ? Hard to see how they will improve again faster than others will. Same top 4, different order next year imo.

Think it's very difficult to predict what's going to happen next year. So many variables at this stage! Think this was a huge opportunity lost for Liverpool though. Chelsea will certainly be stronger next year. Tough to predict how Man United will do under another manager. Giggs taking over from Moyes showed there's a lot of problems there and chucking money at it isn't going to the solution

I think the season just gone was the one with the huge amount of variables. The previous seasons top 3 all changed manager and that's why I thought Arsenal might have a chance.
This coming season, lots of things CAN obviously happen but it's relatively safe to assume City will improve, Chelsea will improve a lot once they buy a 30 goal striker and Arsenal will improve if they invest, which I'm sure they will. Pool might improve their squad but I see the extra European games having a big effect and negating some of that. United will improve (as they can't get worse!) and no European football will help their league form massively. Spurs will continue to be Spurs and Everton might come on a bit but they can't match the resources of the others so improvement must be limited.

Last season I really couldn't attempt to predict the order of the top 4 but this season, I'd personally feel a lot more confident saying City/Chelsea fighting for 1st/2nd, Arsenal/United fighting for 3rd/4th, Spurs/Pool/Everton for 5th/6th/7th. IMO, of course Smiley

I think we'll improve if we keep Suarez. Others obv will too. The question is whom and at what rate.

if the saints can keep there players in the england squad and spend about 150 million i think we have a chance of improving on this years perormance

problem is we wont keep the players and wont spend 150 million even if we sell 100 million worth of players

Why would you lose Suarez now? You got past the £40m buy out clause and he just signed a 5 year deal in December which I'm guessing is cast iron. If you turned down £40m then (when he clearly wanted to go), with Champions League football now secured, what sort of money would someone have to offer? It would have to be in Bale territory of £80m+ surely?

Everton will go backwards. Spurs will change manager again. Utd will change and need an overhaul.

Same top 4 IMHO.

Ya you would think. I'd imagine he stays but I don't recall the last time Real set out to get someone and didn't.

Why would Everton go backwards, other than the fact they are your rivals and it's nice to think our rivals will always get worse any year?
