Ignoring the ending, love it and one of the best football films made

Probably the best ending to a league ever. I remember jumping out my chair when Thomas scored. Was just incredible. And I prefer Liverpool to arsenal, so no rub intended.

From a non liverpool view- without a doubt an amazing ending to the season! As per Aguero in 2012, if you read it in Roy of the Rovers, you wouldn't buy it again as it would be deemed to far fetched.

The beauty of the game. The best unrehearsed 90mins in world entertainment

What would you say was most dramatic? If go Liverpool v arsenal. I know a lot of people would say man city though.

The most dramatic? Thats a hard one to split. Being thinking before i replied, and i still cant seperate each one or have a strong enough case to argue for one over the other.

That said, i think, think, i am slightly leaning to City, as they needed 2 in the last 3minutes, but the. I dont know if im saying that because its the most recent.

they were both dramatic for different reasons

obviously City 2 in injury time etc etc

but the significance of Anfield 89 was, I think, back in those days there wasn't much live football...the odd FA Cup game, the final, the European Cup final, thats it

way before 5 premier league games a week, football league games, conference, CL, EAropa league, la liga live, ligue 1 etc etc

live on a friday night, it was a big thing, and will live in the memory long after any single premier league win because of the scarcity factor for those who watched it

That and I had a newspaper round, and my boss was an Arsenal fan and a right ****.  He started giving me shit that morning that went beyond banter (I was 14 at the time), and so he had to deliver the papers himself that morning.

Then we went and bought Thomas!

The Arsenal one was for me, the best ever. That Liverpool team was brilliant and Arsenal were a bit unfancied. Even the stadium stood to applaud them off having just lost the title. Amazing stuff.

No over-riding reason other than pretty big football news, along with it concerning our biggest rivals.

No offence intended.

Hillsborough was Liverpool's saddest day; Heysel was it's darkest.

RIP YNWA

I've heard its a double deal with Lallana total 24m. 15m for lallana, partly done to lower the payment to bournemouth

the whole situation seems a bit scummy imo feels like pretty bad etiquette from Liverpool.

9m is alot for a 32yr old when his previous transfer have been for no more than £2m before.

Also goes against what i thought was FSG policy on ages!?

24 for both os great business, 9 for lambert maybe not so

no way is it a bad move for the player

no southampton fan can surely begrudge him it, bought him for £1m, two promotions and back to the club he supports after a world cup at age 32. fairytale stuff

for liverpool it looks a lot of money for the age, but obviously he's something very different to every other striking option at the club
