Here is an extraxct of an e-Mail I had from John Duthie/EPT/PokerStars.

"The most exciting news for next season is that the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA), to be held next January at the Atlantis Casino Resort in the Bahamas , has been added to the EPT schedule. The PCA, a hugely popular event, is now ‘an official EPT tournament’ and we are delighted to welcome it to our list of events."

Full information on this event will be available soon on the EPT.com website.

Season 4 of the EPT includes all the events which made Season 3 such a success, with record fields and sell-out tournaments across Europe . EPT Season 3 saw 3,483 players taking part, creating a total prize pool of nearly €27 million.  Season 4 will starts in Barcelona in August, and new events are expecting to be added in due course.

Last season ended with the spectacular Monte Carlo EPT Grand Final, our biggest event to date, and the richest tournament ever held outside of Las Vegas .  Gavin Griffin took the title of EPT champion, winning €1.8 million, after qualifying on PokerStars in a $240 Double Shoot-Out.

"We have raised the buy-ins across the board to €8,000. This decision is based on the limited number of people who can be accommodated at our EPT venues, and the fact that the €10,000 EPT Grand Final - our most expensive event - proved so popular," added John Duthie.

The schedule so far is as follows:

Sounds pretty good.  With you on that KP, EPT looks a great tour to be involved in.  Going to try and qualify for one this season.

Makes perfect sense moving the Bahamas event.

As part of the WPT they would be restricted in the amount of advertising they could use.

Now if the event is part of the EPT schedule and takes place outside of US soil then they can promote their site as much as they like without fear of being sent to Guantanamo Bay Smiley

Wow well done to John Duthie, especially in turning a WPT event into a EPT event.

This does suggest that 'pokerstars' see that the EPT is an expanding market where as the WPT may have reached it's peak.Or is that just an european perspective?

A European perspective - holding an EPT in the Caribbean!

I suppose Golf did the same thing, so it was only a matter of time.

I wish them every success.

The European Golf Tour plays in every continent except the americas I think. There is no reason that the EPT can't have a leg in Asia in the future

I used to say the same but after the way the clocks have been altered in the WPT & EPT events to suit cameras i changed my mind. The day they finish the events with no change to the structure just to chase a finnish then i'll reconsider.

The EPT is still good and expanding but the changes to the end of tournaments is just wrong.
