I read elsewhere that mr Murray has been taking his new found poker knowledge to new levels and can be found donating large sums of money in cash games throughout London.
anyone confirm this ?

I find Colin Murray more irritating than the Sh**s after having a hot vindaloo with a double doze of spicy onions!
He really, really antagonizes me. There is nothing more irritating that seeing some mupprt on the TV trying analyze something they know nothing about. If John Duthie had any sense he'd ditcth the specky toss pot and get someone in who can discuss poker and who doesn't irritate you with his constant mistakes and slagging of players and indeed of JD.
We should start a campaign to get Murray sacked!

Lets get this clear murray knowing nothing about poker is not necessarily a problem, is the fact that he tries to be an expert. His role is simply to commentate on the action and then let John Duthie make expert comments.
I have to say I don't mind him and i often listen to his radio show, though they might be to do with the fact that we share similar tastes in music.

Lets get this clear murray knowing nothing about poker is not necessarily a problem,
Its a problem to me! Its like when I see ex footballers on the telly who where no better than average or indeed tossers like Hansen who where decent but never took on the reigns as a manager criticise managers for their tactical know how. Its a big part of my enjoyment when watching something that requires an analytical perspective - I enjoy watching, hearing presenters who can make a worthy comment and not just stoop to levels of abusing and becoming critical of players.

I agree with the poster earlier- it's the fact he tries to analyise a game he probably knows next to zilch about I love it when he compares the tournament to his home games.

You can't compare Murray to Hansen Hansen has a brilliant knowledge of the game and is pretty entertaining. Murray is a moron yep I just think it's funny all the idiotic comments he comes out with, so ignorant . Still, undisputably the best commentator is Raymer, shame you don't get more of him he is really good with his analyses.

Colin Murray is not someone that I have strong views on one way or the other, but he is normally enthusiastic about the game and quite entertaining. As for Roland de Wolfe his record speaks for itself, but must admit from his televised poker that I have seen of late he doesn't look very good.
